"THIS IS NOT PEACEFUL!! You see those rivers? That water is what separates us from them. The humans from the halflings. The villages from the houses. Coexisting is living peacefully. A world that's divided is not what we need to settle with. You can stay right where you are, but we're gonna go. You ready, Kochki?" Zabu asked.
"Right behind ya, bro!"

The elder tried to stop them, but he let them pass. The two of them had their minds set on their goal, he could only hope they would come back alive. And so the two boys were off, with their backpacks set with rations and other goods they would need for the journey. Of course they knew that it wouldn't be easy, but they were prepared for everything and anything. As the traveled further north, the temperatures slowly got colder and colder. Their village was native to the South, which had a much warmer climate. So they weren't exactly dressed for the occasion. And with night quickly approaching, it would equal a terrible end for them.
