Character Description
Ara is a loving, affectionate anthro house cat! She is quite cheerful and mostly normal. Mostly. She has no arms! Alas, she has but little nubs where her arms used to be. Her feet are basically just hands with no thumbs and stubby fingers anyways! She bites, too.
Personality
Ara is really easygoing. The only thing you can do to upset her is call her feet gross or ugly. That will put her in a sour mood really fast. Other than that, anything's fair game! She is very difficult to offend. You can even refer to her as male pronouns if you really want. This isn't tumblr, she's not going to raise hell. However, other people might look at you weird if you do! While her actual sex is not a secret, she doesn't broadcast it either.
Background/History
Ara is a biologist! A botanist, to be more exact. She was exploring some shithole in her world. Imagine Australia, but worse! So there's flesh-eating plants out there, and our white cat found one. It was like a massive venus fly trap that swoops down and takes hold of its prey. It skips the head (there's an annoying skull that's in the way of the meat), so the arms are next on the menu. Unlucky for Ara, she got both of her arms caught! They were pretty much digested in front of her. It wasn't painful and there was no gore at all, just a strange tingling sensation. The toxins from the plant did a good job of killing off the pain nerves. Unfortunately, it killed off other nerves in the area as well. She can still feel things there, but any sort of prosthetics are useless. The best she can do is some involuntary twitches when she gets extremely excited. On the plus side, the toxins somehow rewired her brain, as she does not feel any phantom limbs, nor does she miss her arms on a fundamentally emotional level (she misses them on a "I guess arms would be convenient" sort of level). This all happened 2-3 years before "the current time."
Body
Her appearance is rather simple. This is mainly because only 75% of her appearance needs to be described! She has faintly pink hair. No, it's not warning coloration. It's just cute! Her natural fur color is white. She has a small mouth, and her nose and paw pads are the same shade of pink. Her tongue is barbed, but it's not enough to hurt. Further down, she has a bump on each side where an arm should be. There are no scars, and fur is fully grown on her nubs, like everywhere else on her skin. They don't hurt at all, nor does she feel any phantom pain. Ara won't tell you, but she loves it when they are rubbed! She doesn't have much in the way of breasts. As you would expect, she is flat. Ara sports some nice curves though, which help a lot with her feminine image. She's rather slim and has a low BMI.
Clothing
Her clothing is either neutral or feminine in nature.
Accessories
A common accessory that she has when she is out and about is a messenger bag containing various goodies (cell phone, etc).
