the new changlings dont eat love anymore, they consume normal food like normal ponies do...i think they 'can' still feed off energy but its not nessiary for them anymore and as such they have turned to foods that actualy taste good...though as thorax mentions at the start of the episode finding a diet that there sensative stomachs can handel is an uphill struggle.
