"My body is a cage that keeps me, From dancing with the one I love. But my mind holds the key." -- Arcade Fire
There is a third owl-man.
He is gay, but hasn't been with another man in a few years, and doesn't expect it to change anytime soon. He lives in Malaysia, works as an academic, and is wracked by doubt over his own abilities and what he really wants to do with the rest of his life. He knows there are so many people who care about him, but he is not surrounded by friends. He writes stories, but has not finished many of them. He makes pictures, and he is proud of most of them. He pretends to be other people, to live other lives, each of them a facet closer to him than the veins in his neck.
