Background/History
Elsey was previously owned by a private collector who despite knowing how special she was, only treated her as a car. They became tired of constantly needing to work on her to keep her in running order, so they left her at a junkyard. Years passed without anyone showing any sort of interest in her, which caused her to give up hope of ever being wanted by anyone. That is until a girl named Naru, who was looking for her first car, came to the junkyard and saw Elsey. Something the sad and hopeless look in Elsey's eyes immediately drew Naru to her, who ultimately ended up purchasing Elsey. Naru and Elsey quickly bonded, and are not only dear friends to one another, but also family.

World/Setting
The town that Elsey resides in is very peculiar in that more cars come to life, and that more toon cars are found than anywhere in the world. No one knows why this is, only that it's made the town a place where drivers form inseparable bonds with their vehicles, and where cars and their owners live together as friends and as family.
