Trying to be anthro with limbless species (snakes, fish, worms...) is to me always very odd.

Yeah... with piscines it's still a thing, but with others such as worms, it sure is odd xD

The super-villain Shark from Green Lantern became humanoid from a blast of gamma rays, causing him to evolve in seconds. Trouble is - his bestial lust to KILL was intact.

DC in the 60's was hardly more scientific & logical than it was in the 40's.
