The day has just begun for Caiden as he is awakened by his mother from a deep sleep. Looks like he didn't get enough sleep last night and is still a bit tired. Oh well, the day must go on.
Unfortunately for Kyle, he started the day just like his little brother. Kyle was a little more upset about it than Caiden, but eventually pushed past it and went to shower and clean himself up.
"Look mama! Look! Ima big boy an can get dwessed all by myself like a big boy!" shouted Caiden joyfully as he found himself tangled in his excess and misplaced clothing items, "Well....almost dwessed..."
"*giggles* Why don't you just run around in your diaper until after breakfast big guy?" suggested Cheryl as she untangled the silly cub.
"Otay mommy!" laughed Caiden as he got untangled and ran off to go play.
Shortly after Kyle finished teasing his toddler brother they were all called for breakfast. The whole family had a pleasant meal with each other. After everyone finished Mike headed off to work, Kyle went to catch the bus for school, and Cheryl took Caiden upstairs to get dressed.
I think we've all been in Kyle's situation before. Having to sit in class and listen to a boring teacher teach about boring things on a nice day will usually force you to zone out. I can hear Charlie Brown's teacher now.
At least school has one redeeming quality and that quality is recess! Kyle got to run some off his boredom off with a fun game of tag with his friends.
"Oh! Oh! Mommy!? Can I hasa toy?" bounced Caiden as he pointed to a toy on the endcap while they were grocery shopping.
"No sweety, not today. I bought you a toy the other day remember?" answered Cheryl sweetly.
"B-but-t I want it..." stuttered Caiden as his lip quivered.
"Caiden. Stop that right now. If you throw a tantrum you'll go down for an early nap right when we get home." calmly threatened Cheryl as she started to move past the toys.
"But I wants it!..." screamed Caiden as he began his tantrum.
"Alright, I guess you made your decision..." grumbled Cheryl as she was now irritated at her spirited son.
Caiden's tantrum extended all the way to the parking lot where Cheryl began to unload the shopping cart. Since he didn't stop, Cheryl reminded him that he was heading straight for an early nap when they got home. That didn't jive well with Caiden, so he opened his sippy cup full of grape juice and soaked his mother. Being soaked and stained by a tantrum throwing toddler didn't jive well with Cheryl either and decided that her son needed more than just a nap.
In addition to being put down for an early nap as a result of throwing a tantrum at the store, Cheryl decided to spank her youngest's bottom right there in the parking lot for additional offences. You reap what you sew kid.
After Caiden got his tail whooped, Cheryl sat him in his carseat. The naughty toddler bawled for half the ride home before he crashed and fell right asleep. Cheryl brought the groceries in and then grabbed her sleeping tot. She carried the sleeping tot up the stairs to his room for a much needed nap.
'Man, one moment he's a holy terror and the next he's a sleeping angel. Some people's cubs..." thought Cheryl to herself as she laid her son down for a nap.
Caiden slept hard for a couple hours. When he awoke, he felt much better and was ready to play. He grabbed one of his bathrobes and a toy lightsaber and played 'Caiden Smith: Jedi Master'. He went around the house fighting bad guys and saving the galaxy. He eventually made his way to the kitchen where he saw the infamous cookie jar on the counter. He dropped his lightsaber and tried his darnest to 'use the force' to bring the cookie jar to him.
"Whatcha doin' Jedi Master?" giggled Cheryl as she snuck up on the playful toddler.
"Oh!- Uh, jus tryin' ta get a snack..." jumped Caiden.
"I see. Tell you what. Cookies are more of a dessert. How about I get you some crackers and juice instead?" offered Cheryl.
"Otay!" squealed Caiden as he jumped into his chair and waited.
Cheryl grabbed some crackers and juice and served them to the hungry tot. She sat down next to him and watched her adorable son eat his snack. Caiden ate his snack and acted as if the tantrum and subsequent spanking never even happened.
"*giggles* You wear me out kid..." whispered Cheryl as she rubbed his ear.
The rest of the day was pretty uneventful until Kyle and Mike got home from school and work. Mike went into his study to finish a few things up while Kyle went outside to play. After a bit of playing outside by himself, Kyle got an idea. He quickly went and grabbed a water balloon and filled it up at the spicket on the side of the house.
Kyle snuck around back to the window where his father was working. His father looked pretty zoned into his work and looked like he needed some fun. At least that's what Kyle thought. Kyle then threw the water balloon that he just filled at his father and soaked him. Not only did it soak Mike, but it also soaked his paperwork and splashed his computer. Luckily the computer wasn't damaged but his days work was ruined. Mike then glared out the window to where his oldest son was rolling on the ground laughing.
Promptly following his spanking, Kyle was sent straight to the corner to think about his actions. As it custom in the Smith household, a time-out is to be completed with the convicts pants and undies/diaper at their ankles if they were spanked first. Caiden heard all the commotion coming from the bathroom and not too long after saw his big brother sniffling in the corner with a bright red bottom. Caiden felt bad for his brother. Caiden didn't like to see his brother sad and crying. After Kyle was released from time-out, Caiden went up to him and gave him a big hug. Kyle hugged back and the two brothers went outside to go play.
Following Kyle's spanking and time-out, Caiden and Kyle went outside to play. They grabbed their toy trucks and played in the dirt together. The brothers played nicely and managed to get coated in a nice layer of dirt in the process.
Well if you have to take a bath, you might as well splash around and have a good time. Mike doesn't look like he's having a good time. Probably because this is the second time he's been soaked today.
Following bathtime, both cubs have to get ready for bed. That not only means pajamas, but diapers as well. Well, Goodnite Pull-Ups for Kyle. There's a difference....I guess. Kyle's able to get completely dressed by himself. Unfortunately for Mike, he has to diaper and dress a wiggly and hyper 3 year old.

After the boys got dressed they rushed out to the kitchen to find their mother serving ice cream for dessert. Since the boys were moderately behaved that day, Cheryl thought they deserved a treat before bed.
A little while after the boys ate dessert, it was bedtime. Part of the bedtime routine was to read a bedtime story. Kyle climbed in the bed with Caiden as Mike sat next to them and read a few fairy tails. Not five minutes into the reading and Caiden was already asleep. Kyle took a few more stories, but eventually he got sleepy too and made his way to his bed for a good nights sleep.
Caiden drifted quickly into dreamland. He had just watched Guardian's of the Galaxy earlier that day and that was the theme for tonight's dream. Caiden teamed up with Rocket and they went around saving the Galaxy.
"What the heck is this!?!?" shouted Rocket as he went from a cool space armor to just a cloth diaper and Nerf gun.
"I dunno. It's my dweam so if I gotta wear a diapee den you gots to too." answered Caiden
Rocket grumbled and complained the rest of the dream. It was quite an adventure.

They've got a really great style for this. I 'tend' not to like a lot of real young cub art (absolutely no judgement to those who do, I'm just meaning personal interests), but when you get art by this person it always brings a smile to my face. There's something about it that really captures the nature well without it seeming forced or exaggerated. Like a mother's love, and kids being kids and seeing things through their eyes. =)
