He is being incredibly humble here.... it could be two extreme opposites. Either he is an excellent thief with a sharp wit and high charisma or a honor bound knight with a sense of chivalry. Maybe a poor citizen who thought all his problems could be solved with a wish, the "big brother" figure for others in his predicament? It's fun to guess these things. It's nice when a story has some substance beyond getting only a sexual rise. I enjoy these the most... also a fan of kobold/dragon/lizardfolk of all kinds! So there's that. :P
