My only question is, what kind of store sells diesel in a can.I know some places sell gas already in the canister but diesel?Only commercial vehicles run that and they need a !@#$ ton so selling a few gallons in a can would be a waste imo.

Wrong? I'm pretty sure my friends on the USS Nimitz and the former USS Enterprise can tell you otherwise as they use anything available to fly their war jets, including the Ship Fuel for the smaller ships in the feet and they use Heavy Diesel.
But Kerosene is the cheapest fuel you can get to burn in a jet. A Jet can burn anything from Drinking Alcohol (Ethanol) to Heavy Diesel, and if you can get the fuel pressure right, it can burn natural gas too. You can even burn Benzene Turpentine and any plant based oil like corn oil in a jet as well. The thing with the heavier fuels is that you need to maintain the engine more often, not the Jet itself but its fuel delivery components as heavier fuels tend to gum up fuel lines and pumps.
