When I joined Tapestries Muck I needed a character, back in '97!
Being used to play non-anthro characters on TLK Muck it was something new for me to have to play an anthro, which was seemingly the thread on that other muck.
I loved an old cheetah character I had on TLK, even though by then my main character there was, of course, a lion. But if I had to make a character more accurate to my personality and personal likings, a lion didn't suit me, so I went for the cheetah, made him be 16yo and have a background in which he had been born as a regular, four-legged cheetah, who was later taught the magic needed to become an anthro.
So, in reality, Salmy is just 4 years old, if we count from the day he was born, but making an extrapolation in the way we usually do with animals, since he learned that magic when he was 2, he transformed into his anthro equivalent, a 14yo boy. After 2 years from that change, that makes him the equivalent to 16 in anthro terms.
Back then and until not so long ago, his legs were digitigrade instead of plantigrade, and he didn't wear many clothes, just some leopard-patterned shorts. When my paw-fetish stroke in, I needed to change that! Also, his privates were more feline-shaped, something else that changed later to the version many of you know, and if you don't, check my FA gallery to see the differences there xD
So well, until 2005 I didn't have a picture of him. By then it was not as easy to get art as today, at least in the style I liked, so I was happy when I found Lune and ordered him a commision that I will post later. He was very nice to do for free some sketches of Salmy for my approval before the real one. Check them all!

Lune fue uno de mis primeros y mejores amigos en el Fandom, nos las pasabamos hablando de peliculas y arte, estabamos obsesionados con Karabiner en esa epoca hehe, me da curiosidad saber que fue de su vida ^^ es un grande!
