Di$ney would be better off going back to their acid-trip movies like Fantasia than the crap they cranked out past couple decades >_<

Yeah, but that would require giving actual artists control of what they produce instead of the marketing department.

That's what I was implying... it's gone far to commercial/political/SJW.

They just make what they think will be the most profitable, just like every other corporation.  Visionaries like Uncle Walt was have little place in that equation.  Walt Disney probably could not get a job at Disney if he were alive today.

Couldn't agree more.

The computer animation is nice, but I still prefer the traditional animation.

Animation is fine. I think it's gone far to commercial/political/SJW.

I am with you on that.  The old rotoscoped stuff still looks pretty damn cool if you ask me.

Yes it does.

Rotoscoping - a step in the process of transforming a live actor into a hand-drawn cartoon character. The dwarves dancing in one scene in Disney's Snow White were actual overweight * men filmed while doing the dance, and then rotoscoped frame by frame into the dwarves.

* Being overweight gave them the contours needed for accurate rotoscoping into chunky dwarves.

Too much today is computer animation. If we got knocked off our technological base, we'd have to go back to hand-drawn animation -and might not have the skills !

I do NOT know why Carlos blocked me, so I will state my comment to you 'stead of him.
Disney vetoed casettes of Fantasia for many years, because of users smoking marijuana to this music.

I didn't know that-interesting fact!
