I took my favorite panel and had the amazing artist http://irasponsible.tumblr.com/ color in and as well as add a few details and it turned out wonderfully. Yes her ear is supposed to black like the rest of her hair for reasons to be explained later and her - as well as Violet's - eyes are actually purple. She did a wonderful job of bringing my image to life.
