The shorts have white stripes going down them kind of diagonally but mostly vertically. You can almost see the white stripe at the very edge of the shorts on his other leg. I'm not totally confident in the expression, though, so I can see what you mean by terrified. I referenced a candid basketball picture in which the player didn't have a very flattering expression either. Plus the real Jonathan the Husky has kind of a funny face.
