Looru was just on the floor. She even didn't really know what just happened. After one second she grabs her glasses next to her and look around. By her side was a black and red hedgehog, lying on his back and groaning something.
"Oh My .. Are you ok ? I mean, I'm so sorry, I guess I was on your way, I guess I shouldn't have to be there and... " She stops hearing a group of men approaching, but still distant; "Are they after.. you ?"
"Uh... yeah." He flips to his feet. "You... may want to get behind me." He widens his stance like a wall, a smirk on his otherwise focused face.
Looru was surprised but just rose up and turning around she placed herself behind the hedgehog. She was now able to see half of a dozen men approaching, exhausted, a little bruised for some of them, and ... clearly enraged
Midnight simply smiles. "So Cutie... what's your name?"
The lead officer aims a gun at Midnight. "Return the Chaos Emerald, or die!"
She blushes a little "Oh hum.. My name's Looru, but... Watch out !" She shouted while was approaching him with club, arm raised
The officer growls, "Don't you dare ignore me, you little... !"
Midnight unsheathes a katana from his back and cuts the club in half, sheathing the weapon, all within the blink of an eye. "Delighted to meet you! I'm Midnight!" He smiles as if he was never interrupted.
Looru was staring at him of astonishment, mouth partially open. She shakes her head "Huu.. ye-yes ! I mean, nice to meet you too ... "
"Excuse me for a moment." He looks at the people and bows grandly. "I thank you for a thrilling chase! However..." He pulls the Orange Chaos Emerald from his pocket. "...You'll just have to remember this as the day that you ALMOST caught Mitchell Nate Lance!" He grabs her around the waist and raises the Emerald in the air, the Emerald shining brightly before inducing Chaos Control, warping the pair away.
Ground had disappeared under Looru's feet to appears again in a light time. Chaos Control was a really weird feeling, as if her body was dislocated in pieces and reunified in just one second. And when she opened her eyes, she was still with the intriguing hedgehog, but police men had disappeared. She looks at him.
"Was it really a chaos control ?? And... is this a chaos emerald ?!! Oh my god ! I read so much things about those gems but I never saw a real one !" She had almost stars on her eyes right now
He smiles as the glowing Emerald dims. "Yes, Chaos Control and Chaos Emerald." He tosses the gem to her with a smile.
She grabs it and brings it carefully in front of her eyes as if she was afraid to break it. She was blushing with excitement
"That's... So beautiful..." Then she looks back toward Midnight, a little more serious now "But... How did you manage to get it ? I thought all of them were lost ... Is that linked with those police men earlier ?"
"Yep... Black market dealers posing as officers. No match for an Ultimate Lifeform like me." He smiles.
"Ultimate.. Lifeform ?"
"Yep... Ever hear of Shadow the Hedgehog?" He tilts his head.
"I do. Are you.. Linked with him?"
"Can't you see the family resemblance?" He smiles.
She starts to look at him up and down. "That's true ! you really look like him ! X( I'm sorry ! I can be so "blind" when I'm focusing on something.." Looking to Midnight's katana "You don't use the same type of weapons but... It seems to be one of the really few differences... Oh and... You seem to be.. A more smiley person too.."
"It's a preference." He motions to the two pistols holstered on his waist. "And you know, the Deadpool outfit."
"Yes, of course... Oh ! hum.. I should give this back to you" She says holding the emerald out to him
"Thanks." He accepts it. "So... what were you doing before I oh so rudely ran over you? You know, other than looking adorable?"
"Oh hum I.. That's stupid, really... I'm quiet new here and I was looking for the library. I found it but.. well I guess I didn't really paid attention to the way I took so... I was just walking around (^.^') I'm sorry for have been in your way.. "
"Well, how about I show you around?" He offers with a smile.
"Really ? You would do that ? I would love to ! Thanks !"
"You're welcome!" He smiles. "So yeah, welcome to Westopolis, the most happening town ever! What would you like to see first?" He takes her hand with a smile.
She blushes at the touch. His hand was bigger than her, strong but with a gentle pressure. "I... Is there a park or something similar around ?"
"A few. Which do you want? Central park? State park? Twinkle Park? I hear cute couples get in free for that one." He winks.
"Well, I trust you to choose. I'm sure you know a lot of interesting places " She smiles.
"Okay then, Twinkle Park is free. It's a Wednesday." He smiles and teleports them away.
