When I watch cartoons, specially as a kid, I often rooted for the bad guys because they typically seemed more interested and motivated than the good guys did. The He-man cartoon was no exception and even though it's been remade a few times, Panthor has been one of my fav characters from the show; though he doesn't get a lot of screen time. Unlike Battlecat who served as He-man's mount, Panthor was always at his current power level, he didn't need to be infused by some sword's magic to be mighty.
What a great rendition of him. I always liked the bad guys better, too. I pitied them. Especially predators. The biological necessity to kill and eat for carnivorous animals is completely detached from morals, and carnivorous animals shouldn't be so savagely shamed and even murdered in fiction over their needs. I felt sorry that they were expected to simply starve to death. It teaches children a very unhealthy philosophy towards nature. The wolf at the end of the rugrats movie who's thrown from a bridge over his desire to get essential nutrients disturbed me greatly as a kid.
