Character Description
Evangeline is a Rotheri royal. The Rotheri royals have much more powerful magic than the others of their race, all Rotheri are magical, but the royals tend to exceed in fire related and offensive magic where the average Rotheri is much more suited for defensive magic. All royals, regardless of subspecies, have mythical totem animals/familiars. The Rotheri have familiars and the Jitai have totems. It's a sign of power, both physical and magical and a sign of respect. Along with the mythical animal totems/familiars all royals have galactic scales/horns along with the addition of the extra unicorn horns. Royal blood doesn't mean you're destined to be the next king or queen, it just means you're from the oldest and most respected Yadue lineage and would be considered for the throne. They're also fairly rare, at least compared to other Yadue. The Rotheri are very close to nature. They value lives and try to not be wasteful. They're peaceful and kind as a whole, but of course there are exceptions to this. They're also capable of using magic, it's not restricted to one element or anything, but each Rotheri is more connected to a certain element/talent. This meaning that's their strongest. For example every Rotheri could manipulate a fireball to light their way on a dark evening or make a small item dance in the wind, but not every Rotheri can command an element to do exactly as it wishes. Evangeline's strongest element is fire. All Rotheri familiars are smokey, ghost-like in appearance. Much like a patronus from Harry Potter would be. It requires a great deal of magical power and focus from the Rotherifor them to temporarily take on a solid form. Or in great times of need, when all else seems to fail, they sometimes materialize their flesh and blood form to help their Rotheri. They also don't start off with any form. When a Rotheri is young, usually before puberty, their familiar is just a smokey ball of dim light that follows them around. As they start to mature it becomes more of a mist then a ball and once they reach maturity, usually around young adult age so 18-20 their familiar takes shape. It almost always has something to do with what elemental magic is the strongest and has to do with their personality. It could range anywhere from a simple field mouse to a dolphin or wolf. Evangeline's familiar is a Cerberus.
