This was a piece I decided to work on as a practice for working in just pencil. Since I don't do charcoal drawings anymore and don't really plan on it, I figured it would be a good medium to pick up on and add to my repertoire.
This particular image has been sitting in my head for a while now, and was originally inspired by the Lady Gaga song "Judas" and the famous series, "The Tudor," which I have been watching for two weeks in a row and have just finished. You can draw any meaning you like from it, but the main point of the piece is that a monarchy ruled by religion is truly a form of tyranny, and that sometimes, we can still see it today, even in our democratic government. You can interpret the Wolf as the King, the Leopard as the people, and the Jackal as the church. You could also interpret the wolf as Jesus, the leopard as Mary, and the jackal as Judas. It's really up to the viewer, since the piece is meant to represent many things than what I wrote above.
So, yes, hopefully more of this to come. If I get into the FC Artshow this piece will be up for grabs, or if you would like to see the original. I really do hope you get the chance to since the scan does it no justice. Anyways, thanks so much for looking ^_^
