Klonoa is alive again and is getting an animated feature length film! Check out the story here:

I loved Klonoa even though I never played all his games, still he is just one of those characters where you love him or not. I can't wait for this to be released so I can enjoy him once again. I hope this isn't just some one off thing and he goes back to the grave. That would suck.

Side note: since Spyro, Crash and other old IPs are being revived, why not make that Spyro the Dragon movie that was cancelled from all those years ago? It seems to be the age or era of VG movies, so why not?

I'm fairly certain that they'll make a Skylanders movie before they make a Spyro one.

There's not enough lore content on the Ckassic Spyro series to warrant a film/films. The legend of spyro series is certainly viable, just as long as they don't resort to the same creative team. But seeing as how Skylanders has a TV show now (and classic Crash even guest starred in one episode) I'm gonna say that, yes, Skylanders is more likely to make a movie before Spyro is.

That's the thing, TLoS movie was the one that was cancelled in favor of making the Skylanders IP. In my opinion, they can revive the movie idea, it's only if they really want to at this time. At the time of this post, I had no idea how many VG movies were in the works. Now with one of my fave old school games getting a movie, [Rampage], I believe this movie can still happen. I hope they can change their mind on the movie they promised and never delivered.

To be honest, considering the Spyro movie was in the hands of the people behind the CG Garfield movies, as well as Eragon, the mess that that film turned out to be, I'm kind of glad it got cancelled. If it ever resurfaces, here's hoping it's given to far more competent filmmakers.
