Story: Shadow walked up to the cliff sighing as memories of Space Colony ARK flashed through his head. Sonic walked up behind him,"Hey Shadow! What's up?" Shadow turned to face the blue hegdehog. Sonic could make out tears forming in the anti-hero's eyes, "Shadow? You ok, bud?" Shadow backed up so his the backs of his feet were hanging over the edge of the precipice, "...Sonic...leave me..." The hero raised a hand up, "Shadow...you don't look so good." The black hegehog barred his teeth, "I said leave me!" Sonic shot his hands up innocently, "Hey, calm down! I just wanna know what's wrong?" Shadow sighed, realizing he wasn't going to get rid of him. Sonic walked up to the hegehog, "...is it about Maria?" Shadow's eyes filled with tears and he turned away, covering his mouth to quiet his sobs. Sonic laid a hand on his shoulder, "Oh, Shadow. Ya gotta get over this. I mean this happened over fifty years ago! And besides, there's nothing you coulda done." Shadow rubbed his nose and sniffled, "No...you don't know that...you don't know what happened..." The azure hedgehog shrugged, "Not exactly, but i've heard rumors...so what did happen?" It was silent. "Shadow?" The black hegehog shook his head, "...I'm not sure..." "What?" Shadow exhaled slowly. Sonic got closer, "What do mean you're not sure, you were there weren't you?" Shadow looked down the cliff, "...I can't remember anything at all, or what i used to be...something's turning me upside-down...all i know is they made me..." and he added quitely, "and i love them...but i can't change the things i've done..." He sobbed quietly again. Sonic breathed heavily, "Well, you don't know what happened, so what's next?" Shadow rubbed the tears from his face, "There is only one thing left to do...end it now..." He turned so he was facing Sonic, "Good-bye...Sonic the hegdehog." Sonic was stunned, "W-wait!" But it was too late, Shadow had backed up and jumped off the cliff. Sonic panicked, he used his super speed to reach down and grab Shadow's hand before he fell. Shadow grunted from the sudden change in weight, he looked up. Sonic's eyes were full of tears. The anti-hero was confused, "Why? Why did you save me?" Sonic started to sob heavily, "I need you!" Shadow went wide eyed, one of Sonic's tears fell from his nose and landed on Shadow's face, mixing with his own tears, "...Sonic..." "Shadow, I can't live without you! I know i'm always so cocky, but it's because i don't want you to know my true feelings...Shadow...i love you!" Shadow gasped, "...Sonic...I...I can't stay...I can't live with this pain anymore." Sonic nodded, "I-I know..." Shadow cracked a little smile, "Then there's only one thing left to do..." Sonic looked at him, and immediatly understood. Within a second, the azure hedgehog let go of the cliff, and the pair fell to the ground below, ready to start anew...
