It was mostly Tails and Amy, and a bit of Shadow that has seen Sonic's recent odd behavior. So they sought out to discover why Sonic is acting like he is, hence that scene in chapter 5 where Tails calls Shadow to go after Sonic. And now with this new knowledge, Shadow has to tell everyone about it because they know that Sonic won't tell them. It's the same with Shadow, she doesn't want anyone knowing about her past but they all know due to different things she can't control.
