Actually in abandoned buildings those are generally where ceiling tiles used to be

Oh yes. ^^ I knew. I just also so often see that sort of thing in horror based comics, movies, etc. :3 That particular shot, of looking up at someones face and seeing that opening above is just so often used as foreshadowing for 'something will jump out from here, you know this, the characters don't, be afraid for them'. >:3

Definitely scary. *nods* Though that includes all sorts of sounds and other fears, no one wants to stop on broken glass or get electrocuted , while this plays on the more fundamental fears of the unknown. ^^
