Nothing like relaxing at the pool on an all too hot day with a few drinks. Though, for the common feline, submerging yourself into a pool of deep water doesn't sound too inviting. The anxiety coming off the poor guy is palpable (that also may be due to Mr. Attractive Walf Friend), but a few more long island iced teas should help with that.

It's excellent. I love the way you used the distortion of the pool's side to portray the 3-dimensional surface of the pool.

The expressions are both telling and very well done, and the posture of the characters effectively portrays their mood and level of confidence. I like the background quite a bit, as the way it's shaded reminds me of dusk in the countryside, with the base of the hills in deep shadow.
