Totally. Actually, I don't think ponysonas would be good either, unless that person has already envisioned a ponysona or a pony redesign.
I don't know, it's because you are taking perfectly good (let us give most people the benefit of the doubt) OCs and drawing them as fat bunnies. I should approve of the lulz and troll factor inherent in this, but ... it offends me as a character designer a bit.

Aw, I see it as all in good fun- no malicious intent at all ; Besides, I was doing these as commissions, not just taking peoples characters and randomly redesigning them. I think of the Emperor's new groove, where the guy took a bunch of potions and turned into various animals... it was a same basic design just in different forms.
