Well, yesterday (sunday) i attempted to print the final 2 parts. the hockeystick was too large for the printer, so i divided it into two parts, making three.
then i ran into a problem. before starting the final print, the extruder motor started to fail, as you can see in this video (0:10)
fixing it would require tearing appart the extruder, but since i was alone i decided to wait until today so that i could request the help of one of my friends. (i'm half blind and it is hard for me to see areas that are dark and small)
today i gave the pieces to one of my artists to continue working on. (i'm not good with using traditional brushes/paints, so i have an artist work for me to do that job, after i've finished the sanding process. he added a white base coat and then painted some of the primary colors (you can see the paintwork in the first photo.)
right now, i'm printing the base, which will take another four hours.
-6 hours preparing the model to print. -13 hours printing the lower body and head. -5 hours smoothing the lower body and head -11 hours printing the upper body and tail. -1 hour printing the hockey stick -5 hours smoothing 3 parts (upper body, tail, staff/stick) -2 hours painting -4 hours printing the base
which totals 47 hours so far, not including the modeling time.
awesome,, sorry about your printing problem, hope it will be fix, soon..
also what painting you are using in 3D printing,?, for my stuff I use Tamiya and Model Master by testor.. not sure if will work in 3D printing material,
