I had no idea what I was doing with the background, so I just did something random.
Now then, I had this sudden urge to redraw one of my old artworks and I mean old artworks, so I chose a crossover between P0RTAL and Sonic. By the time I was sketching I thought, why not Silver instead, it would make for a much more interesting piece. I always liked the idea of when he uses his psychic powers, his eyes would glow. That's why his eyes are funky looking here.
I pretty much took his old design, Venice, and used his eyes for this since those eyes are so awesome and rare to see on any character. I feel that Venice still lives inside of Silver from a design standpoint.
