is it me or each background sky is the same...? meh, I would have done the same probably, this comic is already great to me :3

They might look similar but I'm pretty sure 99% of the time I do all backgrounds manually ;-; I think there was only one or two panels in the story of weekend 1 and 2 that I used copy paste for a background =o

my bad then ^^' it's just the cloud in the second and forth panel that made me think that, but it's not a big deal, the comic is great anyway

Looks more like consistency in the BG than anything. Those two clouds remain in roughly similar places over Joel based on different perspective/angles.
