Top pic: Baby Blacklight is being held by Dr. Krankcase, his adopted father, and are seen with his mom Luminous. It's said after little baby Blacklight's adventure with the Doom Raiders escorting him back to the academy to be safe, Krankcase became his adopted daddy! ^^ Blacklight likes Dr. Krankcase better than his biological father Spellslamzer.

Bottom Pic: A young Blacklight is shown with the Magic Trap Master, Enigma, who is his mentor and trained him to be a fighter like his parents, in which he will be a Sorcerer Sensei. A young half Spell Punk boy sure admires Eni you know!
