Personality
Deborah is a friendly, out-going girl with limitless curiosity and a keen interest in the world around her. She is an adventurer at heart, following in the finest traditions of her family. This tends to vaguely annoy the older and more conservative rabbits in her homeland, but she isn't particularly concerned with that. She has a mischievous streak a mile wide and is known for pulling harmless pranks on her friends. She is also impulsive and tends to act on her emotions rather than think things through, but she is also very kind and generous and she is quick to help those in need.

Background/History
Deborah lives in the rabbit-controlled city-state of Oseille on the island of Viridis. She works as a farrier and general blacksmith, having taken the job over from Ciara Lohan, and she is in most respects a fairly ordinary girl. It was her family that founded the city some centuries ago and her elder cousin Fiachra has recently become the ruler of Oseille. However Fiachra does not play favorites, and this has only made Deborah more determined to make her own way in life.

She is currently dating a rabbit/wolf hybrid named Molly.

World/Setting
Viridis is a large island that lies off the coast of Jaspertree in the Glass Ocean. It is home to a number of species, the most notable of which are foxes, lynxes and rabbits, who each control roughly a third of the island. Though Viridis is beset by frequent, if brief, wars, and its technological advancement is roughly on a medieval level, it is nevertheless a relatively prosperous place with an unprecedented level of social equality for its time.
Body
Height: 4'9"
Eye color: Purple
Build: Slender and petite.
Left handed
Deborah is small for her age, and slightly built, but she keeps herself fit and she is stronger than she looks. Her ears are slightly too large, which embarrasses her, and her fur is thick and soft. Her fur colors are chocolate brown and cream, with black spots on her sides, black ear tips and a butterfly-shaped patch of black on her muzzle. Her hair is long and jet black, though she has taken to dying the bottom half of it hot pink, just for fun.
Clothing
She typically wears comfortable clothing, favoring tank-tops or short-sleeved tops and skirts or denim trousers.
Accessories
She wears earrings and a number of piercings here and there.

Lovely Cuddles by the Sea
When she was younger, Deborah spent some time as Ciara's apprentice, back when Ciara was still just Viridis' resident master farrier. Deborah never had quite the knack for dealing with feral horses that Ciara did, so when Ciara moved on to become queen of Cearnach, the title of Master farrier went to someone else. However, Deborah does have quite a knack for bending iron and steel to her will and she has continued to hone her skills on her own. Now she works primarily for her own enjoyment to create intricate works of art, from tools to knives to sculptures and beyond, and she has made quite a name for herself as the first person on the island to treat smithing as an art form instead of a craft born of pure utility. Which isn't to say that her work isn't completely functional.

All that, and she looks incredibly sexy in a leather apron, too!

Totally random, but funny story:
When I was 14 or so, I was headed somewhere with my dad.
As was his custom, he'd change lanes on the freeway to run over boxes.
One of them had a 75 lb anvil in it. It broke the car and we pulled to the side of the road.
Dad had to hike off to call for a tow truck. No cell phones or call boxes back in 1967.
When he got back, I said "open the trunk." I had gone back to the anvil we hit and dragged it back to the car.
"It's ours, we hit it fair and square."
I still have it. And I've used it to make various things with a home made forge.
My favorite "time waster" was making 20p nails.

Oh my. Well, all's well that ends well, I suppose, though something tells me Dad didn't run over any more boxes in the road after that! I certainly don't blame you for taking the anvil, though, and it sounds like it has held up pretty well over the years, too.

My dad used to have a little portable forge back when I was a kid, but he never used it much and I never really learned. I've always kind of wanted to, though.

He never learned. His attitude was "What are the chances of finding a second anvil?"

There's just something magical about taking a piece of 3/8" rebar and turning it in some nails.

Aw, well thank you, and I definitely agree! Call me biased, but I think young Deborah here is even prettier than even her mother!

Ehh, this may be a dumb question, but dose she ware any piercings when she's working her forge?

Not a dumb question, I think it's perfectly valid to wonder about wearing little bits of metal on sensitive parts of your body when working around fire and hot metal. But I don't think it would be a problem. Except for earrings, all her piercings would be covered by clothing when she's working and I think she'd have to be pretty much right on top of the fire before they got hot enough to burn her.

Ya, I should have figured XD . If the Metal get's white hot, then her forge is way to hot, and it is at that point that her earings would start to heat up. At least she works safe n_n .

To the best of my knowledge she does. That is, I pretty much know squat about blacksmithing but from what I do know I try to make sure she does it in a safe, sane and realistic sort of way. It maybe helps that she's primarily a farrier, meaning that she mostly makes horseshoes which wouldn't require as big a forge as some other items.

Thanks for the question, and please feel free to ask any time you have a question about my characters or ideas. I don't think there are any dumb questions so long as someone is genuinely interested in the answer.

Ya, I don't know that much about blacksmithing either XD . I know it's difficult though XD . A farrier was a good safe choice n_n . They also made small things to though if I remember right, nails and eating utinsles for the most part n_n .

Aww, thanks Misses Bryar, that's sweet of you n_n . I generly enjoy hearing the stories behind peoples characters and the worlds they build for them n_n .
