Back in my Sonic materia days in dA, I've had another chara in my 1st Gen roster, Vaxier. Just thought I'd show him here today : )

In terms of combat, I would say Vaxier can be even more ruthless and brutal than even Shun when duty calls for his skills. If yur considered either a hostile or an obstacle, ain't no chance you gown make an ally/friend out of him.

And like Xave, Vax is also an ESP/psionics user.. though he utilizes his abilities with little to no mercy, and right from the start unlike Xave. xD Ay, but he's not always uptight.

Well you wouldn't have to worry about him much. He's almost always either on another planet (Cavari) with Sam K. or in his respective dimension working. But yeah, no one would want him as an adversary. Vax is my pseudo Darth Vader I guess. xD

i guess? *shrug* its less that more that i can tell if he showed up, the first thing happening is him and Ziion are likely to disagree and fight.
remembering from previous RPs the only way i could stand up to your first gen characters even with Ziion is pulling as much bullshit out to help me as physically possible.

^^; Eheh, yeah I remember.. They've been around tough customers almost constantly. The Kalianeys' also kept the group on their toes-
Sam and Vax engaged in combat (friendly, but intense) with Shun and Xave;
Parisa hung around Tammy (Sam's sibling) and Sam while they mentored Shun;
Xue recieves Shun's growth mentoring (Passing down knowledge);
Auron is later trained by Shun and Xue (No growth techniques) before acquiring a particular occupation;
And Parisa occasionally bugged Shun for matches (also to hang out)...

It's like a circle. the Kalianey giants were indeed the 'biggest' factor : ). The 2nd Geners are totally new to supernatural combat.

meanwhile in my lore, my main guy is one of four fragments of an unstoppable world destroying force that has killed gods and laid waste to armies.
pre-nerf, his strongest (and fastest i might add) move couldn't even land on ONE of your first gen characters.
my world is known.... well my friend Ray is afraid to even Rp in my world because he thinks his characters would be dead before they had a chance to do anything save one who is gunna be weak compared to those around him.
he has to throw his strongest creatures at me in RPs. giant dragons that use light magic to even feel like Ziion is challenged.

meanwhile, your first gen characters? this guy couldn't even hit them.
heck, Val is usually my bullshit switch. since she's not combat based and is a stealth expert to the point even SHE doesn't know how she does it, she can basically kill everyone. she finds a way to get past most things be them old or new.
again, Xave alone can counter her without even trying. (and i'd add on top that he's the only person i've seen who CAN counter Val doing her thing)

the only guys i have that could even match up are the ones who literally cant be killed

Hmm.. Xave had his psionics, and had to be at his best defensively. And telepathy can't decipher crazy without difficulty. His energy shield guarded him from the bullets, but he never took a swing at Val. Before that, he had just been taking cover while Val hacked away at Ziion. Winter and her partner got some hits on him during their fight.

Shun used the Mass Conversion technique while dealing with the snipers and gunmen, plus her astounding speed produced by her electromancy.. Speed + Power for a killer mix. ^^; But even when she took on Zii inside the holding room, he stood his ground well against her- No one won that fight, and it was 2 to 1 against Zii (Well.. it 'was' interrupted). Hits were also taken there, too.

Auron was a grade or so below Xave and also had to be at his best to survive Val's hired hands. I remember him having gotten gashed at the back, legs, and ribs. I always concluded that if he fought Val, her deadly pressure would end up killing him. Plus, he wouldn't be able to beat super Winter.

my Xave countering Val thing throws back to even further honestly. you said he can detect thoughts passively if he wants and on top of that sense life readings. Val could probably find away (like she did) to counter the life reading thing by going into some passive state of death and abusing necromancy but she cant really shut off her brain. like you said, he has his bullet shield too. so that means she'd have to get in close. she cant do that without him reading her so her only method of attack is useless as long as Xave is near the one she's trying to go for because he can just pick her out and stop her doing anything. going in for a direct fight? well she's a killer but no combatant. she can hold out but thats not a fight she'd last long in.

as on the ShunvsZiion fight you're referencing i dont think thats particularly a good one to use as the reference point.
first off if i remember right, Ziion was full unarmed and basically nude so had no gear or weapon to use and he had nowhere to run or scenery to play to his advantage and on the other hand Shun was going for a CAPTURE so she would of been holding ALOT back so she didn't kill him meaning that you COULD say he held up but she was hardly going to be struggling because she wasn't TRYING in a sense.

and covering Val's goons? well i had to make it a threat somehow so i litterally had to put in my strongest force that made sense into the RP to even get that effects. Purity's vanguard? gotta be honest i think Kyoka-Gen 2 could probably take them out easier than Ziion would be able to and he's the only one in my lore at that point that can even hurt them.
and the super Winter? well, i had to bullshit as much as i could to even have her keep up. being realistic im surprised she can even keep up with some of your second gen characters.

the one time i remember Shun and Ziion actually having a full on fight that would be anywhere near valid would be way back before Ziion got his "cant fuck with planets" nerf where she basically pushed through all his attacks and his strongest, pre-nerf lightspeed onslaught wasn't even hard to dodge for her. the only reason i feel thats a valid point is because Ziion was STRONGER back then.

i mean if you wanna be technical about it, Xave would be an ultimate counter to anyone i have really. he can not only pick them up to know where they are which would also counter one of Ziion's main moves, not just Val, but all he'd really have to do to win would be use his magicky mind powers to just lift ZiiZii the hell up and rip him forcably limb from limb and there's nothing really any of my characters besides the other 3 riftborn could do about it.

point is. Gen 1 compared to Gen 2? Winter can keep up with most of the fresh meat. your gen 1? i find it hard to believe even the riftborn could manage even with their immortality factored in.

: / Woah.. easy.. I thought about scrapping the first couple ones because the extent of my charas' abilities seemed far too absurd those times, even to me. (The planetary scale scenario, and the basement fight.)

And come to think of it.. there weren't many victories.. My charas either had to flee, or were coerced into surrendering. Xave's home was 'destroyed' and they had nowhere else to take refuge without being hunted down! : P My victories usually came via truces and talks.

I'm not looking to get into an argument here.

well i mean, that went that way because i had to be sly and use tactics/ make stuff up on the spot or i couldn't keep up.
i dunno. i was merely analyzing the situation honestly. not trying to argue. debate perhaps.
like, i said Vax by description scares me, i was merely trying to show why.
if he's on Par with Xave AND he hasn't got any issues with going all out from the start.. THAT is why he terrifies me. i can barely keep up with the guy when your dudes are holding back let alone when they're aiming to kill fast from the start.

dont get me wrong i dont mean this in an angry way.
maybe a little salty perhaps but i dont mean anything bad by this.
well i might be criticizing a bit on how strong your gen 1 guys are. but thats hardly fair after admitting several times that i have 3 literally unkillable dudes in this argument alone.

A blood bath is common place for him during military operations and assignments, honestly. Tis why the two are, well.. 'almost' polar opposites- they both love their "giant woman" (SU ref). Makes for common ground.

common ground? sounds to me more like the spark that lit the fuse factoring in Zii. i mean, what works for some wont for others.
If Vax and Xave both their their "taste in chicks" if anything that sounds like with Vax showing up... it'd be a slaughter with no way out...
you're likely at this point well aware Ziion tends to be a tad... possessive. throw that in and it turns into vengeful bloodlust and all out wrath with two outcomes and no deterrent.

Vax has Sam and Xave has Shun during the 1st Gen. It's common ground between the dimensional dopples, lol. Outside of this, Vax would just tend to his own business and care less about anyone else.

Ah I should've pointed something out much earlier. Vax utilizes his psychic abilities in various ways that Xave prefers not to in order to dispatch foes quickly. That is what I actually meant to say. It's not that he'd start off at full throttle. Instead, ANY advantage he finds he'll take it no question, except against his closest allies unless given warranty.

i guess though this hardly seems like an apt place to be arguing over who's characters are more shiteatingly overpowered.

as on the angel thing? like i said, most of that was making things up off the top of my head and finding as many ways as i could to get a challenge out. doing that in a more cannon setting might not exactly be possible

thats because of my bad habbit. over the years i've become efficient at what i do. once i've thought of something, if its bad or doesn't make sense i end up finding a way to justify it or make it make sense.
if someone points something out im just as fast to find a reason or explain it while making it sound credible.
most of that was thinking of ways using the setting to give me an advantage so that you had something to work against and then slot in reasonable things as i went along.
in THAT case maybe a BIT of planning. Winter was more planned but still

I honestly wish I had better vocabulary explaining my Oc's future story lines better, and how it's connected to my other new gen Characters without having to question myself: "Why does my Oc's sounds like a complete waste of my time?" Because of their powers resembles them as more of a immortal than an mortal. As If I'm throwing out the window of "their background stories, and their heritages"

I Have trouble understanding things when being told about something at first (that I get.) For example of what chores I have to do, So and so. What really pisses me off is when people deciding to judge me for not understanding quick enough of what I'm suppose to be doing than contemplating too long enough looking like retard. It's absolutely ludicrous of having to go through this for YEARS without catching a break even in my own home, even now that I ended having preparing to move to another home.

I hate feeling that all my efforts were for nothing.
