I see a light furring texturing. It is a neat effect, but it is very hard to make it look right. This is one of the very few I have ever saw where one tried to show some fur on the ponies.
Some of the 2D drawing looks real good that a few have made, but to try it in 3D, this, what you did works good for fast renderings, but using a fur shader looks far better, that is if one wants to wait a long time for just one frame.
As for me, I like the idea of seeing some fur on the ponies. This one did not turn out too bad, but one can see some stretching in the texture in the ear. And the lighting lets you barley see the furring at all.
The furring shows up as kind of a highlight in this, rather than an actual fur pelt covering. I think turning down the intensity of the main light might help in letting one see a more full covering, as it looks like it does cover her.
