wanted to see how my Yoshi model would look with paws closer to Nintendo's "official" style (similar to Birdo and that one official bootless Yoshi pic). I don't think I got it 100% but people seem to like it anyway :}
I am a big Yoshi fan (among other things), and I think you nailed it. ^.^
I like how she was done in some of the games, such as Yoshi's Story (an all to easy game, but fun and great looking), and the Supper Smash Bros, and many of the spots and racing games as well. But this look I like also.
It is to me what Yoshi would look like, looking a bit more human. Needs to be seen in many more poses. ^.^
I would love to have my hands on the model file of her done this way. Be it in fbx, or obj. Not sure how else I can view it with the bone rigged model, if this model is bone rigged. Not without having Maya. I think Blender might be able to open an fbx, or an obj with a bone rig.
I don't suppose Maya can export a LightWave lwo, or lws format file. The most I do know it can export out to is an fbx.
Either way, grate Yoshi, and real nice looking renders of her. ^.^
