Sometimes they tell me how impossible it could be that they have any worth inside themselves. How selfish it would be to give one shred of hope of their decency. They want kindness, and a reason to lift themselves from the world and into the skies. Otherwise they wouldn't speak of it at all to begin with.

Don't fool yourself. Your past does not dictate your future. You're every moment waiting to happen, every new chance of expression. The foolish will call you a fool, and the wise will say that you are wise for this. But you mustn't give up on you. You mustn't dash away your desires out of expectations. Find out for yourself. Discover, grow, and remember you have friends in this.

But what if some of them whisper wonderful, beautiful things you want to share with the world, and some of them whisper terrible, monstrous things that should never be written? What do you do when the things they say are ugly to begin with? :(

Then you write them. It is an essence of life. What should and should not be written is up to your own interpretations, but not everything needs to be beautiful, sentimental, kind, or even dare I say, delightful. We do not always feel this way, and there are many kinds of feelings in ourselves looking for a way out to be known. To deny them is to deny a part of ourselves and devalue another extension of our expression.

Not everything in this world is beautiful, and it does not have to be. But all things have the ability to become beautiful, as they do vice versa. I've written many terrible things myself, and illustrated my anger, my hatred and my doubts. Through time those monstrous thoughts gave way to kindness and compassion, but only because I allowed the air inside, rather than bottling it away without mercy.

There could be something from your perspective that appear so terrible, and to another..wonderful. You may very well be locking away those things because of premature judgement, and we may not know at all what they could have truly been.Consider that, friend.
