Okay, this one has quite a story to it. Strap yourselves in! :U
About 3-4 months ago or so some dude contacted me, impersonating the official creator of this comic and commissioned this piece they intended for advertising and as time went on I found myself stuck with the lineart as the chatty person vanished of course. I -being a naive fool- felt bad just posting the lines and naming the email address, having the person who's name is attached appear as a scammer and unavoidably staining the comic series and its creators , so I went to their official facebook page to get in touch with the real artist who was super duper kind (and he's also friggin' talented might I add) and got the real creator to talk to me. The poor soul felt horrible about what happened to me and wouldn't stop apologizing, even though I repeatedly told him that I just wanted to make sure the email that was used has no ties to him or his team, make sure to warn him that someone had access to his script and other information and parades around pretending it's him. Upon showing him the lines he actually recognized them, stating how someone tried to upload it to some little contest they held but took it down rather shortly afterwards and they had no idea what the deal was with it. He even said he was fond of how it looked and insisted that he would feature it in the next comic strip at the end where they have a little section for fan art. Given how adorable and kind the real fella turned out to be I couldn't refuse the offer and promised I'd try to finish it up so they can have it featured in the next strip and I'll also have something to post.It also gives me the excuse of making people aware of the comic, so a big shoutout goes to them! >O<
Please, take a peek and like their page if you are feeling generous. There's quite some stuff to peek at here: https://www.facebook.com/LowlifeComic/ Heck, they even have some furry baddies that show up at some part in the story.. They totally need more fan art! :Y
So yeah. It was a bumpy ride, but in the end I got to talk to some super nice people in the end and even get my hands on a copy of a gorgeous comic series that I'll be sure to follow! :D
