I kind of screwed up on the word bubbles here. I was trying a new method and some steps got mixed up. Meet the valiant Sergeant Troughsgoode. Also Private Sirius Logan Two and Private Kaffre Kitty, who don't look to be having too much fun.

Sirius, Kaffre and Toroth belong to their players.
Everything else is my fault. =P

Ah.. well, I had set this thing up more on my FA account with a few journals here and there two years ago. But I was planning on possibly doing a little short story that would sum up the history of this strange little world.

Well, the short history is there was a huge cataclysm that happened a few thousand years before the comic started. The world at this time was much like ours (albeit it was a furry one) with multiple nation-states and differing political and social agendas. The technology level was a lot more advanced than ours. Eventually this unique energy that came from the same dimension the demons come from was discovered and harnessed. It wasn't long before the energy was utilized as a weapon pretty much on the level of atomic bombs but without the radioactive after effect. Civilization was wiped out, the barriers between the dimensions was weakened and what was left of society took cover in underground shelters.
It wasn't long before numerous factions started fighting one another. Enter the eccentric but brilliant Maeria Adams, head scientist and the gal in charge of keeping the shelters functional. She has a bit of a syndrome, her husband and young children were all killed in an attack and she started asking herself why evil, selfish and ignorant people responsible for all the troubles of the world were allowed to continue ruling while the meek and helpless pay the price. She basically took control of the shelters using her extensive knowledge and regressed all it's denizens into helpless and innocent babies. She decided that she would create a society were children won't suffer anymore using all the technology that should have brought a golden age to the world. For the most part she succeeded.
Flash forward a couple dozen years after the netherstorms brought on by the bombs subside. The Children return to the surface, construct a new society and, under the watchful gaze of mother, design a new set of codes and ethics to live by. For the most part things are nice and fun and oddball taboos start to crop up due to society being made up entirely of cubs taken care of by robot caretakers. Maeria tells the cubs that they can't ever grow up because there is some sort of awful disease that manifests itself as you grow older that causes you to make irrational, greedy and dangerous decisions and basically turns you into a horrible person. Weapons research is highly HIGHLY restricted because of what happened to the ancient people before them. Nothing used for defense can be lethal to the victim, period. It took many years for weapons to develop from stun-spears to single-shot energy guns because of this system. The powers that be justify the use of an army (which could potentially be dangerous to society) by purposely making weapons ineffective enough to require the cooperation of large groups of cub-soldiers. If the cause is just it will drum up enough support to make it happen right?
The government continues to enforce these traditions even though Maeria Adams disappeared several hundred years before the story starts. Anyways... this would be the short version of the history I thought up (however improbable it may be). I'm sorry if the lack of details turned you off from my comic. Hopefully I'll get some time to write out a more detailed thing about this. I'm not sure if I could adequately explain all this in the current tale I'm telling.
