" Humankind cannot gain anything without first giving something in return. To obtain, something of equal value must be lost. That is alchemy's first law of Equivalent Exchange.

Moral of the story is that kick ass alchemy powers cost an arm and a leg. But, i think most of us would say its worth it if automail were to exist.

This is a quickmission I got from

the other day. I have always been a huge fan of FMA and would go so far as to say it is my all time favorite series still to this day; and can I just say, that i freaking LOVE how this came out. Thank you so much! ^.^

Actually, look it up, the formula for a human body is WAY off, that's why they failed so badly to revive their mom.

Well I think also what they were going for, is that the memories, thoughts, and personality; effectively the soul in layman's terms aren't accounted for. The base elements could never amount to a living person, let alone a specific one. The missing element in the whole equation is time and experience. To recreate those would require so much energy since every choice no matter how small are what made the person who they were.

No, thet are missing a fuck ton of components too, as in material components.

well they were just kids too. either way if they had all the base materials, it still wouldn't give the desired result. Just a husk body as before.

actually, a homuculus is the result of a successful human transmutation in the anime.

yes, but the reason behind that is that as far as I can tell is that a husk body is produced, and a homuculus soul inhabits it from the gate.

okay. But ppoint is the Philosopher's Stone is probably making up for the lack of materials more than the 'cost' of a soul.
