Somehow I forgot to ever upload this one. Normally I skip over art that's this old that gets missed, but this one is a bit special. I deeply enjoy the toony style I used for this, and it's one of the pieces I get the most compliments on to this day when people flip through my binders at conventions. So, at long last, here it is online to be kept forever safe in digital immortality.

I really like the cartoony style of these sketches, too. It really suits the sweet and cheery mood of the page, especially the sketch of Spix in shorts in the bottom right, and the lovestruck sketch in the upper left. Plus it's just a lot of fun to look at. This version of Spix is just adorable, too. I've always had a bit of a soft spot for androgynous characters. So much so I'm sometimes tempted to make a more androgynous version of Megan from time to time! It's a look you do really well with, too, I think.

And oh, old books! They're a treasure, every one! I think the thing I miss the most about college is the chance to spend hours hanging out in the library, up among the distant shelves.

Thank you so much! I do miss that about college as well. I actually was lucky enough to land a job at my college library while I was still in school, and it was simply amazing getting to spend so much time there.

Such a cute lil 'panda, and the one sketch with the hearts all around is so sweet! It does help, sometimes, to just take time to sit and think about everything, and everyone, you love to help make the day a little brighter. The sketch at the bottom is just beautiful, too! Love the happy smile and those big, fluffy 'panda ears!

Thank you! I agree that it can be lovely, and important I would argue, to just sit and think over the things that make you happy now and then. It's certainly a nice way to start a sketch page!
