In my fan-fics, resurrection occurs. (1) Spirits in Underland or MirrorLand gradually acrete new physical bodies,and can return to earth -IF they find the way out. (2) Spirits who enter the Tulpa (multiverse-spanning complex, run by Nid Nannatar the Librarian) can enter the meson-boson inverter and become flesh,blood and bone again. The process can be reversed -just set the heterodynamo control panel. This leads to a total overthrow of life -death as multitudes switch from living to spirit (or vice versa) and flood the afterlife with people who never died - but seek a change of pace. The Afterlife becomes a vacation resort , or tourist trap !
