What more can I say? I recorded myself singing. What a shock. I actually did it. I told a friend and fellow indie music geek last night that I can sing, so in one take, I recorded this. He was more than impressed. (And he knows who he is.) So after some rough mastering, limiting and reverberating, I produced this. Because I realized that something had to be done about my lack of uploads. REAL uploads. Music uploads. Featuring me. Not my computer. I've done it once...now expect to hear it more than once.
This was very rough, and I'm sure you can easily tell where there are some limiting and recording hiccups. But I did the best I could in such a short amount of time. Got rid of most of the hissing from my computer, but it's still sometimes really obvious when the audio is limited and when it isn't. But I don't want you to critique my recording quality. I want you to critique the song. Tell me what you like and don't like (aside from the recording quality). My voice is my TRUE strength. I'm a far better singer than I will ever be a producer. It's my secret weapon. If I ever want to make a name for myself in the music industry, it is my voice above all else that is my greatest asset. I hope you all agree.
Please, be gentle. Tread lightly. My voice is all I have going for me. But most of all, enjoy. And hold back the tears--it was hard for me to while putting this together.

Please do not sell or reproduce this, but please feel free to download this and show it to all your friends, online and off. You can even use it in your own projects of any kind; just let me know if you do so I can see/hear it! Perhaps after returning from my vacation, I will rerecord the vocals in case anyone else wants to have a go at them...

Artist: Kamunt
Album:
Genre: Trance
BPM: 115 (because my friend said he thought it sounded better slower)
LYRICS:
Slipping sideways, silver stars collide
And fade away just like our love that died
And there is nowhere in this universe to hide
From you tonight
I've wrestled with angels all my life
It's always the halos and the wings that keep you blind
And if I'd fought with all the strength I'd held inside
I wouldn't be out here alone tonight
I wouldn't be standing alone tonight
I wouldn't be standing alone tonight
I wouldn't be standing alone tonight
Alone tonight just like the Western star, I'm sinking
The angels curse me blind with straight and crooked thinking
Alone tonight just like the Western star, I'm sinking
The angels curse me blind with straight and crooked thinking
Slipping sideways, silver stars collide (moving sideways)
And fade away just like our love that died...
