I can only imagine LitleAJ running into someone like Soma Cruz. A good guy who uses the souls of the ones he vanquished to try to save the world from the return of evil.

Hopefully this can make the lesson really sink in. Darkness isn't inherently evil. Even when used for evil, the power itself isn't. It simply allows itself to be used, without bias or care as to who it is that wields it.

What I'd like to know... How did Applejack reach this state? Oh, and what does this mean in regards to AJ?

I'm confused too, but people have said it's a Dark Souls reference. I haven't played Dark Souls so I don't get it.

In dark souls you play as one undead in a world of undead, where souls are currency and power. The thing is, when you die in dark souls you ressurect at a bonfire (essentially checkpoints) and you slowly turn hollow. Hollows are those who have completely lost their soul and turn into raving lunatics.

and in order to regain there true humanoid form [or true pony form] they need to harvest humanity from other undead, humanity being the crystalized essence of well a heart, every time you restore from being hollow it consumes one....heres hopeing either aj has several crystalis on hoof or avoids having to respawn...

Welp, as it happens she's actually lives longer than meant for her normally.
Somewhat I expect it to also being connected with her husband from another world. Perhaps he's also the one who inflicted the curse in the first place to save AJ and a child both, possibly at cost of his own life, since spells of that kind and such potency as to allow "undead" being to appear no different from a living are usually calling for a high cost on speller side, such as sacrifice.

no, more likely daughter of "pony" and human because of AJ's dimensional travels causing her to assume a human form while in the Dark Souls universe. the other comic has a better pony dragon hybrid example really.

there is a pony dragon hybrid, rarity's daughter in this comic is spikes child, though shes not a true hybrid in the traditional sense, she can switch between dragon and pony forms at will, sorta like ryu from breath of fire.

in the dark souls world, or at least the world of souls 1 and 2 as the world nears a point of transition between a time of darkness and a time of light or vice versal the cycle of death and rebirth grinds to a halt and those who naturaly become undead apear, it is the job of these undead to seek out the means to either kick the cycle back to its top and begin a new time of light, or ussuer in a new age of darkness.

well... yes and no, even DS undead "die" but not permanently as they do resurrect at the bonfire or whatever its suppose to be. the thing tho is they often come in 2 states; hollowed and human(ish). hollowed being that withered classical zombie look or green tone for DS2, the latter just being the character create model you make before playing the game proper that you restore when burning a humanity or using a human effigy.

If Applejack had dark energy inside her before Little AJ was born, doesn't that mean Little AJ was also born with dark energy inside her?(considering AJ would have died if not for the dark energy)
