Catbolds are spawned rather than born, they are innocent and impressionable little creatures made to celebrate the adventurers festival.

They are born needy and naive, trained and conditioned to happily fight humans, but trained to fight badly. Then they're given a sword and shield and let to roam the fields to search for adventurers.

Their life expectancy is less than a month, do not grow attached.
