I'll open the my first booth in JapanPonycon 2016 artist alley E booth in May 5th!
My booth thema is "juni hitoe(twelve-layered robe)" , it is a formal attire of a Japanese noblewoman who emerged around the tenth century in the Heian period. And now considered the supreme costume for a woman.
In addition to the clothes mentioned above , Mononogu shozoku ( the highest rank formal wear) contained hire ( cloth sash hung from the shoulders ) and kuntai ( cloth sash hung from the waist ) , with the hokan ( crown ) on top of the head , in which the Nara period customs remained .
Juni-hitoe weighs approximately 20 kg and it is considered that there were different versions for each season.
Juni-hitoe was worn with Kasane (adding colors) which was suitable for each season, but some Kasane were used all year round.
Irome refers to color combinations used in juni-hitoe and so on. So I chose the Irome to suit each character!
