Bad moves Maybe but according to the two times I can recall seeing clips of her and the show she was talking about taking over for the sake of feeding her hive a bit disturbing and reminds me of the vampire fall back / failsafe and one of those three Blade movies.

If she just asked without trying to attack it shouldn't be a big deal of a request since the ponies, or whatever, don't seem to notice when the Changelings feed.

I don't think I've ever seen a changeling feed except for that one occasion when Chrysalis was feeding on Shining Armor but he was under mind control. Besides who's to say that love is not like body heat you produce it without trying and some of it goes to waste but without enough of that you can die.

Exactly that begs the question: how can there be so many Changelings left if 0 love equals starving to death ? No, it seems they may feel like hungry like we do, but it's only a sensus.
That, assuming they're not keeping them alive under cartoon logic.

Funny thing I know said in the show that changelings are always hungry for love they can never have enough but I don't recall it ever stated that they would starve to death without it. I do however know that in the season finale apparently sharing love creates a circuit where the changelings are no longer starving anymore it seems like a similarity to I guess the vampires of old as opposed to the I don't know I know there's something else maybe an incubus or something like that. In the comic Chrysalis put them into you some sort of hibernation cocoon to preserve them while they were trapped before she tripped Twilight into setting them free by asking for a book that was too big to fit through the slot so true Twilight tried to crack the door to slip it in and like a flood out flew the changelings.

You're right, canonically it wasn't said they starve to death, but if you think about it, Thorax, IIRC, said he was chickening for a long time near Crystal Empire while thinking what to do to harvest the love he sensed about the place, which can mean either they don't die from the starvation or they're not allowed to die for cartoon reasons.
Even if they don't die from the starvation, it's endless and pointless effort harvesting love which doesn't even fill them to not feel hungry.
It seems they no longer starve after they gave love instead of took it. We'll know for sure later.
