" "Another schlattwhapper accident?  Why wouldn't the guys on scene touch– oh.  Rubber chickens."

Whine.

"Yes, all right, sir.  How many?  One?  Two?  Three?  Four?  Five?"

Whine.

"Urf.  And you're not wearing trousers or underwear, are you, sir?"

Whiiiiiiiiiiine!

"I was afraid of that.  Jocelyn, would you call and see if proctology is awake?"

"He is.  Proctology also wants to tell you that they didn't sign up for this chicken(cough) outfit."

I wonder if these -words- are in the Oxford unabridged dictionary.

Nope.  Schlattwhapper is a sniglet, any word that doesn't appear in the dictionary, but should.  I don't know if schlattwhapper appeared in the sniglets segment of the '80s comedy show, Not Necessarily the News, but Rich Hall included it in Sniglets, the first of his five books.

I've also illustrated liff, from Douglas Adams' books, and grandiloquent gords, high-falootin' real words that might be useful if they weren't so obscure.  Other sources, such as Sicklets for sockcucker, are not out of the question.

What a typo.  That should read "grandiloquent words", not "grandiloquent gords".

When my father had to have an infected cyst on his spine removed, he had me apply 3% hydrogen peroxide to it daily until the wound healed. It was my idea, when doing so, to don a blue pajama shirt.

Basically, you made your own scrubs, it seems.  Since Amethyst is supposed to be a medical doctor working in a hospital/medical center, I needed to draw her in some proper work clothes for her profession.
