They say the world of Layosti was born out of the collision of two great forces of magic. Ground solidified and water bubbled from magic springs to fill ocean, great trees grew into the sky while the sun and moon rose from the ground of fire and ice alike.
When the magic settled, the creatures that now lived on the world began to soak and absorb the magic, growing strong and tall, gaining intelligence and powers never seen by any mere mortal creature. Everything and everyone was magical, and society evolved from roaming packs, to warring tribes, to aggressive nations. Tired of all the fighting, the First Great King united the warring counties under one rule and named the land Layosti. While no one could ever claim Layosti is perfect, almost everyone can find their place, no matter what type of magic you use. Fire magic? Smiting, bakery assistant, warrior. Water or plant magic? Farming is popular. Healing magic is always in demand. Levitation magic for lifting heavy items, and even entertainment magic, like magicians or performers. Everyone can find their place.
Almost everyone. Even in a land so steeped in magic the ground itself is enchanted, there are a few born with no magic. No one knows why or how. There is no pattern, no spell to explain it. It’s a problem, because where does one go when you have no marketable magic? They are dead-weights at best, leeching off villages and towns while they have nothing to give in return.
Venkar, a gray/blue feline, is magicless. He cannot grow food like his father, cannot heal like his mother. He knows no spells to help him. He gave up a long time ago on his magic, even if mom always says ‘you’re just a late bloomer, like your father.’ He’s different.

Its is a CYOA (Create Your Own Adventure) story of a young anthropomorphic cat named Venkar, how this story turns out will be left pretty much up to you, dear patron. At the end of each posted segment you will be given a choice, at which time you will comment what you want and the option with the most votes wins! If there is a tie by some miracle, I will break the tie by flipping a coin (or rolling a RNG if more then two options exist) to decide the next outcome.
