Toughts about quitting art again popping up since I keep sketching out ideas that are NOT WORKING AT ALL.. and then I try to do commisions and it's just really unsatisfying..
I don't know, I just think I should focus on inking, I mean I can't even properly ink this "crap" since it doesn't look like I wanted and imagined it to.. becouse.. well.. I was trying to make a side vieuw.. show her face, turned into her facing my back, heck she's not even anthro anymore and then i just drew a dress becouse why not hide the friking terrible curves that aren't working.
It's proberly just some darkish toughts but they keep comming up every time I make an attemt, right now I just feel like refunding the few commisions I still owe or something.
Yeah, I just find inking much more fun tough, and way, waaay less frustrating than screwing up an awesome idea. I just don't know how small I should go becouse whatever I try doesn't work so I'm doing something wrong or just incapable.
:s that's true, but it will heal and stuff :D

I can't ink let alone draw so I can't really say much.
Over all it has an interesting abstract feel to it and it has an appeal but I can see where you did your lines.
For what it is worth, I'd suggest try getting good with your line work first and then step up to flat colors. Like simple solid colors first then move up to shading with blended colors. Small steps and you will get better with time. But again, I'm one to talk.

The problem is not that I can't ink becouse when I have good lineart I like to think I can make it look fancy (as I show with adopts, or other inking works I've done) but when I have crappy lineart like I draw I can't do much with it..
Like most things it's all in the basics, yes you can kinda blend in the flaws but it can never look "perfect" while if the base is right you are pretty much okay with even simple colour.

I'd also say don't chase perfection but telling that to an artist is like tellinga fish not to swim. I think you are on the right track, just keep practicing.

Thanks for your feedback btw, yeah theres no such thing as perfection but we might as well try. Theres always room for improvement tough you shouldn't get down becouse you can't do everything "good enough" everyone has something they are good at, and something they are bad at. It's the key to work a balance between those two.
I'm just terrible with proportions and the sketching itself >.< but I don't know how to fix that.
