So one of my Patreon goals is a tumblr comic/ask blog and this is going to be one of the characters. It was quite fun designing the robot pony. Challenging, but fun nonetheless. also she is totally adorable.
Hunted a little for a name and had a few friends give their suggestions, but either they were a good name for the robot or a good name for the pony but not both. Until my friend Storm Spark suggested Amara, as in "Amorous", which i think is really fitting!
So, to explain, what this is is a supporting character for the setting i'm going to make, which is set in an AU future equestria where an alicorn explorer travells about space on a ship to visit different planets, exploring and spreading the magic of friendship to the universe. This character is her robot companion, who is not actually an android, but an avatar controlled directly by her operator, the pony on the right, using VR tech. Amara herself still lives back on equestrian but i'm thinking having some combination of magic and technology making it possible to remotely control the body. i think this is gonna have to be possible anyway to also explain their ability to receive messages directly even from light years away anyway, and will just make things a lot easier haha.
