Lieki is from a tribe of sun-worshipers known as Pyrians. Their devout acknowledgement and fascination with the sun led to their adept fire powers, which are granted to tribe members at their coming of age through a "tattoo" which is burned into the back of their left hand, as a symbol of their devotion to the sun and its power.
