Jebus. Do people really treat you like that? I mean being able to draw, to translate a mental image into one on paper is a skill. It takes time and effort to build and master that skill. That makes that skill valuable, meaning you have a right to reap the benefits of your hard work. I just...do not understand people some days.

I just... I'm having trouble processing this. I mean I understand most people do not work with a inherent logical frame work. It's really more a reaction/rationalization architecture. But..people need to eat. You need to eat. Heck you need to pay for whatever materials you consume to continue creating art. Not wanting you to take money is...gah.

Its really not. It's a resource to cost measurement. I learned about those in my first economics class. You have a resource, it cost you something to obtain this resource (Time, effort, physical materials, the ability to use those goods to make other resources, like having a different job, or going to school), all of those go into creating your art, which means that unless you recoup the costs associated with that resource you will eventually be unable to continue producing.
