Chapter 111 - Alola Lunala!

Sitting outside for some time, Chris and the girls enjoyed the scenery around them, with the shadowy mountains looming eerily beneath the stars in one direction, while opposite of the darkened peaks the faint glow of the village lights could be seen in the distance, along with the shimmering ocean spanning endlessly beyond with the moon high above, lighting the surface and giving the sea a quiet glow. "This place really is something..." Chris smiled as the girls looked around. "It's really quiet. It's pretty here, but also kinda creepy..." Rose point out, scooting close to him. "Ha ha! Creepy? How so?" he asked, the rabbit glancing towards the dark mountains. "Dunno, just kinda feels that way." she replied as Chris faced the peaks. "Those mountains don't seem scary to me. In a weird kinda way, they actually make me feel kinda safe. It's like there's something there, watching out for us." he smiled, rubbing Rose on the head and recalling the strange voice he'd thought he heard. "I think we're in a really special place. I can't explain it, but it really feels like we're supposed to be here in a way." he point out. "Fabulous, more trouble?" Alicia asked with a scowl. "We not have to put up with more this soon will we?" Serenity asked with a groan. "N-No no!! I don't mean it that way! I mean, it just feels like we're supposed to be here for a different reason this time... I know it's something Ninetales wants, but at the same time, it feels like there's a reason beyond her too." he explained, looking up toward the peaks. "Guess we'll find out when we're supposed to..." he shrugged before getting close to the fire and digging in a bag he'd placed close by, taking out several pieces of wrapped chocolate and bottles of milk.

"With it so cold around here the place is a natural refrigerator so we don't have to worry about stuff like this going bad!" he grinned before taking a small pot and pouring the milk in, stirring the remaining chunks of wood before placing the pot atop them and shifting it around, making the wood crackle beneath it. "Just gotta warm this up some, then we can add the good stuff!" he chuckled, remaining in a squat position while stirring the milk as it heated. "He looks rather... Content, doesn't he?" Alicia point out. Looking at him, Rose nodded. "He's usually pretty happy no matter where we're at, but out here he does look like he's having the best time." she rabbit giggled. "If he like this place better than human places, that just fine by me." Serenity added with a smirk and her arms crossed. "Alright! Who wants to toss in the chocolate?" Chris asked, the sudden sound of his voice making the girls jolt in surprise. "Uh, you alright?" he asked, tilting his head. "W-We're fine. We were just talking is all and got a little startled." Rose laughed nervously. "Oh? What about?" he asked while motioning for them to come over. "Not much, just how you happier here." Serenity replied as they gathered around him. Unwrapping the chocolate, he handed each of the girls small squares, instructing them to place each into the pot as he stirred. Doing so one at a time, they took turns dropping the squares, each landing with a plop before slowly melting and gradually turning the milk darker and darker. "We not watch you cook like this before... That neat." Serenity point out as the color changed. "You learn a lot of cool things just by watching others. That's how I did it for the most part." Chris chuckled.

Once all the squares of chocolate was in the pot, Chris continued stirring and adding small bits of wood and pine to the fire to keep a steady heat going until the mixture was thick and creamy enough before looking around. "Huh, where'd I put...?" he muttered. "Lose something?" Alicia asked. "Yeah, thought I brought out some sug...!!" he paused as Rapidash trot up with a bag in his mouth "S-Sugar." he added, the horse lowering its head and handing it to him "Th-Thanks. I didn't think you'd want to be a part of our little group." he replied, showing his thanks with a nod toward the horse as it grunt in response. "Well, by all means. Feel free to hang out." Chris smiled before grabbing a spoon and letting the girls each add a little sugar as he resumed stirring. "Living in places like the cities and villages, you get so caught up in things like TV and other hobbies, but out here it's so much easier to bond and feel closer... I like it." he smiled before starting to hum as he stirred the chocolate. "What with you girls always watching TV and stuff, looking at books and magazines, I admit it made us feel distant from each other in a way... I missed having ya' all to myself like this!" he point out before he started pouring the chocolate into cups for each of them, the girls looking at one another quietly. "Whenever we stay in rooms, you girls tend to rush in and do your own thing... I know you just want to relax and all, so I don't blame you really. But we definitely weren't as close as this, you know? You watchin' me cook, and especially helping me! It's really...!!" he smiled as he turned before pausing and tilting his head as they showed guilty expressions. "S-Sorry. I opened my mouth the wrong way again, didn't I?" he laughed nervously.

"Now that you mention it, I guess we didn't help you too much with this kinda stuff." Rose sulked. "I suppose we did grow rather accustomed to doing as we pleased in the hotels and such." Alicia admit. "You just do what we do... We watch TV, you watch TV, watch what we want. We not really ask what you want." Serenity added, poking her fingers and glancing away. Looking at them, Chris was silent for a moment before smiling warmly and holding a cup out to Serenity and Rose, giving them a nod. "Well then, we'll just consider this as making up for lost time." he chuckled as they each took their cups before he offered one to Alicia, each cup wrapped in paper towels to avoid burning the three. "I don't think you'd care much for drinking this stuff, but..." Chris paused while taking out a final small chocolate square. "You're welcome to have one of these!" he smiled while unwrapping it and holding it out to Rapidash, the horse sniffing it curiously and raising an eyebrow. "Look, if we're all having the stuff, it's fine! Your kind probably shouldn't have much of it, but this little bit can't hurt." Chris assured, Rapidash letting out a grunt before taking the treat in its mouth. Raising its head, the horse chewed for a moment before its eyes suddenly widened and its flames shot out, making Chris stumble back in surprise while the girls jolt wide eyed. "Whooo! That sugar hits you hard huh?" Chris laughed as Rapidash swallowed the treat with a surprised look on his face. "Sorry if it was too much. Didn't think a little square like that would get to ya'." Chris apologized, standing and patting the horse on the side. Shaking its head, Rapidash lowered its flame and let out a sigh of sorts before heading back to the stable Chris built and drinking from the bucket within.

"Note to self, Rapidash and sugar don't mix." Chris smirked before pouring himself some hot chocolate and sitting between Serenity and Rose on the fallen tree trunk. "Haaaah... Good life." he chuckled before taking a sip of the chocolate, causing him to shudder before letting out a coo. Next thing he knew, Serenity and Rose scoot in closely against his sides, causing him to jolt as they rest against him while Alicia placed the tip of her tail atop his head and gave it a pat. "Love yooouuu." Serenity said using her normal voice, making Chris's eyes widen and a flush spread across his face before taking another drink of his cocoa with a nod and an "mm" in response, glancing away shyly. "Dunno why but hearing you say that normally still hits me hard." he replied, the Pokemon blinking at him before smiling slyly and leaning toward his ear and cooing "love yooouuu" once more making Chris jolt and choke on his cocoa. "H-H-HOT-ot-ot-ot!!!" he shout, fanning his tongue as Serenity laughed. "D-Don't make him hurt himself!" Rose panicked, asking if he was alright as he took a paper towel and wiped his mouth. "I suppose burning his tongue WOULD keep him from trying to make anymore jokes for a while." Alicia point out with a teasing smirk. "G-Gah... Not cool." Chris muttered. "I sorry, not mean to hurt you." Serenity apologized with a giggle, rubbing his back before kissing him on the cheek. "You okay?" she asked, Chris showing a scowl before glancing away with another slight blush on his face, nodding with a "yeah" in response before she gave him a hug. Touching his tongue, Chris let out a groan causing Serenity to look up and give him a guilty puppy-dog-eyed kind of look.

"I-I'm fine!! I'm okay!! Really!!" Chris panicked, making the Pokemon show a smile and nod. "G-Geez. Too cute for your own good." he grumbled, making Serenity grin. "Cute? Cute as Rose?" she asked. "NOT THAT AGAIN!!" Chris snapped, not wanting to run into the same argument twice in one day making Serenity burst out in laughter. "Not worry, I kidding." she assured, patting him on the back before she continued enjoying her own cocoa. "O-Oy..." he sighed before drinking his own, this time more cautiously as Serenity giggled, Chris responding with a "don't you dare" making her glance away with an innocent "I not do anything" in response. "So childish." Alicia sighed, shaking her head at their behavior. "You two really are like little kids." Rose point out with a laugh. "I said I'm a man..." Chris grumbled. "Yes yes, you're a manly man, quite full of man." Alicia teased, patting him on the head with the tip of her tail once more while sipping her cocoa in a refined stance before glancing down at him with a playful smirk. "Yep, a manly man that's our man!" Rose giggled. "So manly." Serenity added. "The only time you team up is to tease me. I finally have another guy around and all he does is..." Chris paused, looking at Rapidash causing the horse to turn around with it's butt toward him in a "not my problem" kind of way making the girls burst out in laughter in unison. "Aw whatever!!" Chris shout before handing his cup to Serenity and walking toward the carriage. "Aww, what wrong? Come back!" Serenity grinned. "I'm makin' our bed!" he shout in agitation, opening their storage compartments and digging out the different sheets and pillows within.

"Aww, methinks we may have pushed a tad too much." Alicia giggled. "I guess we did lay it on kinda heavy. But he's too cute to resist when he gets all pouty like that!" Rose grinned. "He adorable." Serenity smirked. As he opened the carriage door, the girls watched as he started tossing in all the blankets and pillows, looking back at the group with his arms full and sticking his tongue out with a "nyeeeh!!" noise, to which the girls responded with the same expression and noise before giggling together. "Bah, girls." Chris grumbled, rolling his eyes as they looked at one another and grinned. "...Still." he added, glancing back at their faces before smirking. "It's good to see them like that, even if it is a little at my expense." he nodded before tossing in the rest of the bedding in his arms. "I'm gonna get our bed ready for the night. You girls finish up the rest of the cocoa!" he instructed. "No complaints here. It turned out rather well." Alicia replied, raising her cup before using her vines to pour in another ladle full of the beverage. "Sure you don't want our help?" Rose asked, pouring another serving for herself as well. "I got it, I got it." Chris assured, waving his hand while Serenity poured what was left in his cup into her own, using her psychic abilities to stir it up before giggling and taking a sip. "Love you!!" Serenity shout using her normal voice once more, making Chris stumble while climbing into the carriage before shouting her name in frustration, making the Pokemon laugh once more as he shut the door behind him. "Aw, that was mean. You made him trip." Rose giggled. "I'm a tad envious of you having such influence." Alicia added. "It just fun to use to make him act way he does." she replied. "Aren't we a cold one?" Alicia smirked, Serenity shrugging with a smirk of her own. "If you got it, use it." she nodded.

Once they finished the remainder of the cocoa, the girls relaxed together with a satisfied sigh, their stomachs now stuffed with stew, sweets and cocoa combined leaving all three warm from the meal and worn from the day. "Taking his time, isn't he?" Alicia asked. "Maybe we shoulda' helped." Rose added. "We go see if done." Serenity nodded. Standing up, she and the rabbit, along with Alicia, turned together to head for the carriage. However, once their eyes made contact with the windows, the girls froze when seeing Chris having stripped down to his boxers, his back toward them with his scars highlighted by the lights within. "Oh my..." Alicia muttered. "Hello!" Rose giggled. "Now that good dessert." Serenity smirked, watching as Chris bent over and rummaged for something. "Oh yes, dessert indeed." Alicia agreed, the sight of his rear making the snake lick her lips. "Say, why you act that way? Thought you not into him like that now? All of sudden you like that way again?" Serenity point out, reminding the snake of her behavior earlier. "W-Well that's over with!" she snapped. "Just forget about it." she grumbled before looking at Chris again, the girls watching as he lift a robe up over his back and adjusted his arms through the sleeves before tying it shut. "Show's over." Rose sighed. "Too bad, was good one." Serenity grinned. Reaching back down, Chris continued rummaging through the sheets and pillows before finally turning toward the door and opening it, poking his head out with a grin. "Okay girls! Our little nest is all set up and ready for ya'!" he exclaimed before motioning for them to come inside. Looking at one another, Chris tilt his head as they looked back at him. "What? I worked hard on setting this up for you! The least you could do is act a little more, I dunno, excited?" he asked, the group blushing slightly an glancing away, feeling just that but for different reasons.

"Well, fine, guess I'll sleep in here and you girls can sleep with Rapida...!!" he scowled, cut off when the group shouted a firm "no!!" collectively before heading up to the carriage and climbing in one by one. Inside, he had thick blankets all over the floor, with pillows encircling them and covering the round sofa as well, giving everything an extraordinarily plush and warm feeling within. "You can roll up in it as much as you want!" Chris point out before taking a blanket and wrapping it around him, sitting with his head sticking out like it was a cocoon wrapped around him with a grin on his face. "It does look kinda fun." Rose giggled while taking off the dress she'd worn for the day, causing Chris's eyes to widen and a flush to spread across his face. "Something wrong?" she asked, pausing as she lift the dress over her head. "N-No! Sorry." he laughed nervously. "Whenever you put on clothes it's still, I dunno. It gets to me when you take them off. N-Not in a bad way though!" he assured as the rabbit put her clothes on the couch and crawled under the sheets, popping her head out next to him before rolling up into her own cocoon. "This really is like a nest!" she giggled as Alicia lay along the couch, coiling around them. "I'm satisfied with this." the snake nodded. "Aw, you should get on the floor with us! Have some fun!" Chris grinned. Suddenly, he heard Serenity call him, and when he turned he found himself watching as the Pokemon winked and seductively removed her coat. "D-Don't do that!!" Chris panicked, nervously covering his eyes. "I-I know you're Pokemon, but still! I-It's the same as watching any girl take off clothes..." he point out, glancing away shyly. "Aww, what happen to side of you I see before?" Serenity pout, taking her coat off and tossing it on the couch with Rose's dress.

"Still, guess this you is good too. It better to tease." she giggled. "You're gonna tease me into a heart attack." Chris sighed as she crawled into the sheets, making her way up to Chris beneath them before popping her head out in front of him. "Hello!" she smiled before giving him a quick peck on the lips. "H-Hi." he replied, blinking at the Pokemon with a slight blush. "S-So you girls like it, huh?" he asked, looking at the three. "It's quaint." Alicia nodded. "It's fun to roll around and crawl in!" Rose giggled before digging her way under the blankets. "Just like our own little burrow." he chuckled. "There's plenty of blankets to go around. This way we don't have to run the heat all night." he point out. "Uhh... No heat?" Alicia asked with a wary look. "I told you to join us! If you lay there by yourself without blankets or anything you'll get chilly. That's the point! Sleeping close and being cozy together." Chris smiled. "Thought it'd be good bonding for us to huddle up. Wadaya say?" he asked, Serenity crawling behind him before wrapping her arms and blanket around his body, pulling him against her. "I like idea." the Pokemon giggled, nuzzling her nose into Chris's neck making him squirm. "G-Gah." he chuckled before jolting when the Pokemon slipped her hands into his robe and felt him up while giving his neck a kiss. "O-O-O-Okay!! I said huddle up, not seduce up!!" he panicked, nudging the Pokemon back and fixing his robe making Serenity scowl. "You no fun." she pout. "I'm plenty fun. But remember, my word is my word." he point out, smiling at Alicia making the snake jolt before glancing away with a slight blush. "I-I'm not involved so it doesn't affect me." she scowled.

"There, see? Long as she not part of, can do what want!" Serenity grinned before grabbing him again and pulling him back, making Chris flail as Serenity snapped her legs around him as well. "I got you!" she giggled. "N-N-Not now!!" Chris struggled. "She's got you good!" Rose giggled before standing with her blanket spread like a cape behind her. "Flying pounce!!" she shout before jumping on top of Chris and wrapping her arms around him as well. "Th-This match is rigged!! Two against one is cheating!!" Chris panicked as Serenity nuzzled and kissed his neck while Rose tried kissing his lips, Chris struggling to keep the rabbits face pushed back as he flushed. "C-Come on!!" he shout. Laying silently on the couch, Alicia watched the two wrestle with Chris stuck between them, their flirty and clingy behavior making the snakes eye twitch in agitation until finally getting involved and snatching Chris out from between the two using her tail, holding him by her side while scowling at the two. "If he says no then no!" she snapped. "No mean yes sometime!!" Serenity argued. "Yeah! We were having fun!" Rose scowled. About to respond, Alicia paused when she felt Chris tapping her tail, facing him only to find her grip had grown too tight and his color had started changing. "S-Sorry!!" she panicked, quickly releasing him allowing Chris to gasp for air. "F-Fine. I'm fine." he assured with a nervous smile, the snake glancing away with a guilty and embarrassed look. "I appreciate the help." he thanked with a nod. "We just having fun..." Serenity pout. "Showing affection isn't that bad is it?" Rose asked, the two fidgeting eagerly with a blush on their faces. "Oy, you two look desperate." Chris smiled nervously.

"I suppose they can't help it. We've all been feeling a tad off as of late." Alicia reminded. "You mean the sickness you've had going on? How's this related to that?" Chris asked. "It's hard to explain but on top of being nauseous we've all felt rather... Anxious, I suppose." Alicia replied, glancing away nervously. "For some reason it seems the two sensations go hand in hand." she added. "Huh... So basically you're all in the mood more than usual." he muttered, looking at the three before crossing his arms. "Mmm... I guess the time of the month can do that? Guess you girls really do have em'." he point out. "Although I thought that just made girls cranky and full of cramps. I guess it can make you sick and feel... In the mood, too." he nodded. "It should pass in a few days then." he smiled. "I don't think so. We've felt kinda sick since before we got to the valley. Kinda right after we got back to the surface and all is when it kicked in." Rose point out. "Thought it just me, but turn out they sick and in mood too." Serenity nodded. "Yeesh, that means you've been in this condition for a week or more now. And since you just started the, uh, you know, up-chucking, that means it's getting worse." he point out. "I don't think it's getting worse really. I dunno about them but I only feel sick during the early part of the day." Rose explained. "That seems to be the case with me as well. Once the early hours pass it seems the nausea passes with it." Alicia nodded. "I feel same. Sick when wake up, then not sick." Serenity added. Looking at the three, Chris tilt his head before resting his back against the sofa with a sigh. "I wish you would've let me take you to a center." he replied. "Not care how sick! I not going!" Serenity affirmed. "I know, I know." Chris scowled.

"I dunno, maybe if we give it enough time it'll pass. Since we only feel bad in the morning, it couldn't hurt to wait and see. Maybe it's just one of those bugs that comes and goes on its own time?" Rose suggested. "Indeed, many illnesses act that way. There one day, gone the next. Perhaps if we weather it out the problem will solve itself. If not, I suppose we could seek some form of treatment. There's bound to be something even Serenity wouldn't object against." Alicia nodded. "Not likely. If involve humans, not interested." the Pokemon scowled in agitation. "I'll let it pass a little longer, but if you girls are still feeling and acting weird by the time we reach the other side of the mountains, I've got no choice but to get some kinda help." Chris affirmed. "That aside..." he added, sitting up with a stretch before smiling once more. "What did you girls think about building your first campfire and helping me cook the way you did?" he asked. "It neat. Like way milk turn color when put in chocolate. Was swirly looking." Serenity replied. "I liked helping with the stew! It smelled soooo good." Rose sighed happily. "I suppose building the fire was alright, until you made me choke on the smoke." Alicia scowled, getting an apology out of Chris as he chuckled. "That was adorable though, and when the crackles surprised Serenity!" he added before laughing at the embarrassed Pokemon. "Not funny." she scowled, crossing her arms with a pouty look on her face. "Sorry, sorry." Chris apologized, giving Serenity a playful nudge, the Pokemon giving him one back with a smirk. "I just liked how close we were. It was nice seeing you girls having a good time together, even if it was dong something as simple as that. You were all adorable." he praised, making the three girls smile and nod in response.

While Serenity and Rose continued crawling and rolling about within all the blankets, Alicia relaxing on the couch and resting her head with a sigh, Chris made his way to one of the windows and looked outside, checking to see if the fire had died out and looking toward Rapidash, insuring the horse was alright and comfortable before looking toward the sky. "You know, a lot of people like to make wishes on stars..." he point out, the girls looking at him curiously. "I think, if there was a wish I'd want to make, it'd be to see the guys who left Serenity and Alicia behind." he point out, making the two Pokemon pause wide eyed. "Why would you wanna meet those humans?" Rose asked, tilting her head bewildered. "I certainly have no intention of doing so!!" Alicia snapped. "I not want to either!! That bad wish!!" Serenity affirmed. "Don't get me wrong. I'd just wanna meet em' so I could teach those guys the same lesson I taught the guy who abused Rose..." he clarified, Serenity and Alicia tilting their heads curiously. "I hope someday I get the chance to show them how wrong they were about you two in person, just like we proved how wrong that guy was about Rose back in the city." he nodded. "It would be pretty satisfying to beat them in a match and have them begging you to come back. It's one thing to show them how strong you've gotten on TV and stuff, but I'd love to really gloat about you girls and show you off in person! The hottest and strongest Pokemon in the world!" he grinned, making the two flush. "S-Stupid." Alicia scowled while facing away. "A-Already in mood. Stuff like that not help..." Serenity fidget anxiously with a wide smile on her face. "Ha ha, my bad." he apologized before looking out once more.

Looking up at the sky, Chris suddenly jolt wide eyed when he noticed the colors changing above, letting out a quiet "woah" that made the girls pause and look at him curiously. "What? What see?" Serenity asked. Looking at the girls, he rushed to where the panel was in the center of the carriage, digging through the blankets before pulling the panel open and grabbing the handle within. "You girls are gonna love this!" he grinned before suddenly pulling it outward. "Wh-What's this about?!" Alicia panicked as the roof opened before they started rising out of the carriage. Quickly scooting close, Serenity and Rose held onto Chris as they were lift past the roof before the device latched them into place above the carriage, the group now exposed to the boundless outdoors around them. "Look up!" he grinned, pointing toward the sky. Looking at one another confused, they looked up together before their eyes widened, noticing the different colors heading toward them from the mountains in the distance. "It's the aurora borealis! Most call them the northern lights though. It's something you only get to see around here!" he explained as they watched the colors spread throughout the sky, reaching further and further above them. "Maaaaan... That's SO cool." Chris muttered, watching as the lights swayed about and changed color above. "Some cultures think the northern lights are made by spirits that have passed on, you know?" he added, looking at the girls only to find them lost in the world above, unconsciously ignoring him making Chris sigh before smiling as the lights made their curious and awe stricken eyes light up. "This is way beyond fireworks, huh?" he chuckled before looking up once more.

As the northern lights continued to spread and grow, the girls found themselves in something akin to a trance of sorts, left silent and still by the show of nature changing colors and swirling above them. "Ha ha... I knew you'd love it." Chris smiled, looking at their lingering expressions of awe before joining them in watching the lights. "The sky could look like this all night, ya' know? And it'll happen a lot around here, so you'll get to see it plenty of times." he affirmed. "Pretty..." Rose muttered. "Certainly breathtaking." Alicia nodded. "Right?" Chris grinned. "What do you think Sereni...!!" he asked, pausing when he noticed the Pokemon tearing up. "Y-You okay?" he asked in surprise, blinking at her with slight sweat on his face as he reached out. "H-Hey, why are you doing that?" Rose asked, looking just a surprised. "It's an astonishing sight, but you needn't weep over it." Alicia scowled as Serenity sniffled before letting out a sudden loud, whiny cry making Chris and the girls jolt back in surprise. "G-Geez! Calm down!" Chris panicked, Serenity sniffling and letting out a pouty noise before turning toward him and reaching out with her face lowered. "U-Uhh... Hug?" he asked, the Pokemon nodding in response. Looking at the girls, they shrugged at him in response as he reached out and pulled Serenity close, letting her cling to him as she continued crying and hicking. "Th-There there." Chris coaxed, patting her on the head, unsure of how to respond to her sudden behavior. "I didn't think it'd depress you, I'm sorry." he apologized, Serenity shaking her head in response. "It-It not that." she hicked before looking up at him. "Th-Thank you. she added. "F-For what?" he asked, blinking at her bewildered.

Sniffling again, she hid her face in his robe. "Th-Thank y-you f-for e-eyeeeee." she hicked before crying again. "Ooohhhh! You're happy you get to see the lights!" Chris laughed. "Oh man, I thought I did something wrong! Don't worry me like that!" he replied, rubbing her on the head with a chuckle. "There there... I'm glad you're able to see it." he smiled, holding Serenity close while Rose let out an "awwww" in response to the scene, Alicia rolling her eyes with an "Oh boy..." as she looked back up at the lights. However, as she looked at the swaying colors, something caught her eye amidst the trails above. Not far away, a mysterious while light could be seen growing brighter. At first, the snake thought it was just the moon, the swaying colors playing tricks on her vision. However, squinting her eyes, the light could be seen growing brighter, and next thing the group knew the silence of the night was interrupted by a loud, almost angelic cry, making them jolt in surprise before looking at the sky. "Wh-What was that?" Chris asked. "I think it came from that shiny thing over there." Alicia point out, the group noticing the glowing, moon-like object in the sky. "That's not part of the aurora..." Chris muttered, Serenity looking up and wiping her eyes with an "eh?" as she looked at the mysterious light as well. Watching it grow brighter, they suddenly heard another cry, this time sounding akin to something like a long "Luuuuuuu!!!" kind of noise that made their eyes widen before the glowing object let out a massive flash of light, and next thing the group knew, they watched as a Pokemon soared out of the light and paused, looking around curiously. "Wh-What is THAT?!!" Chris shout in surprise.

Looking at the girls, they shook their heads just as surprised and confused. "That's one beyond my knowledge. I know of some beasts you humans call Legendary, but this one escapes me." Alicia replied. "It's really pretty... It's like a bat made of stars!" Rose point out in awe. "Not know what that is..." Serenity added. Suddenly, the sound of Chris's Pokedex going off could be heard from within his coat on the couch. Rushing to it, he took out the device before holding it out toward the Pokemon above, his device letting out all sorts of excited noises before finally flashing on. "Pokemon from Alola Region found! Lunala, the Moone Pokemon!" the device exclaimed. "Lunala... Woah..." Chris muttered wide eyed, the girls gathering around closely to listen. "Known as the "beast that calls the moon," Lunala has long been honored as an emissary of the moon. This Pokémon constantly absorbs light to convert into energy. When it spreads its wings to absorb light and glitters, it resembles a beautiful night sky." his device explained. "So that thing's basically the moon huh?" Chris asked. "Sounds like it... Or has a very strong connection. Wouldn't want to bother a Pokemon that controls objects of that magnitude." Alicia point out warily. "Y-Yeah... It could make it crash if you made it mad!" Rose added nervously. "...Bet could take it." Serenity chimed in with a proud "hrmph" making the others look at her nervously. "Oh come on, not worry, I not fight moon Pokemon." she replied, waving her hand with a scowl. "You no fun." she scowled. "I-I'm all up for fun, but I don't wanna make a Pokemon that controls something like THAT mad!" Chris laughed nervously. Suddenly, they heard the Pokemon cry out again, letting out a second loud "Luuuuu!!!" type of noise before taking off through the sky and soaring through the northern lights above, leaving a glittering trail like that of stars behind it.

"Now THAT'S one beautiful Pokemon..." Chris point out wide eyed and awe stricken, the comment making the girls jolt and give him a slightly agitated look. Feeling their gazes, Chris shuddered and smiled nervously. "S-Sorry, but it is kinda pretty." he point out, the girls looking up and nodding. "I suppose I can't disagree." Alicia replied. "It sparkly. No big deal." Serenity scowled. "I guess it's kinda cool the way it looks and all." Rose nodded. Watching the Alola Legendary soar about above them, the Pokemon looked down and noticed the group, showing a curious look before suddenly changing course and soaring down toward them. "I-It attack!!" Serenity panicked, standing up in a defensive stance. "N-No!! Hold up!!" Chris panicked, quickly pulling Serenity down and coaxing her to relax as the Pokemon rapidly approached. Once Lunala was close enough, it suddenly spread its wings and came to an abrupt stop before them, a powerful blast of wind following that made the carriage lean over and the group stumble back. "G-Geez that's rough!" Chris panicked as he and the girls clutched one another before the carriage landed back on all four wheels with a thud, making the group lunge forward before looking at the Legendary Pokemon before them. "H-H-Hi there." Chris waved nervously as Lunala looked them over, tilting its head curiously when its gaze focused on Chris, seemingly unsure of what exactly Chris was due to Ninetales aura around him. "U-Um, we... Come in peace?" Chris smiled as the curious Legendary tilt its head in the opposite direction, blinking at him bewildered before suddenly flying up and grabbing the side of the carriage with its claws and leaning its face towards Chris's, looking him closely in the eye.

Freezing up, Chris sweat slightly despite the cold, the Pokemon's behavior now making even Rose and Alicia wary as they watched alongside Serenity as the Legendary gave Chris an examination of sorts, its massive size and weight pulling the carriage toward it on two wheels once more as its eyes made Chris feel as though he was suddenly being sucked into eternity. After a moment, Lunala backed its head away and showed a sudden smile, seemingly approving of him as it nodded before letting out an ear piercing "Luuuuuu!!!" with its head arched back and launching itself back into the sky, making the carriage rock as the Pokemon soared back into the northern lights and made its way toward the nearby mountains. "What was THAT about?" Rose asked, walking up next to Chris. "I've no idea... It smiled so at least it meant no harm I suppose." Alicia added. "It not hurt him, all that matter." Serenity chimed in, standing by Chris's side as well. Watching as Lunala disappeared past the mountain peaks, the girls looked at Chris, tilting their heads as they noticed him remaining still and wide eyed. "Uh, you okay?" Serenity asked, giving him a nudge. "Hellooo... Earth to Chris!" Rose called out, jumping up and waving a hand in front of his face. "Don't tell me that beast being up close got the better of...!!" Alicia added, cut off when Chris's legs began trembling before he suddenly groaned and fell back unconscious. "...You?" Alicia finished, blinking at him in surprise. "Huh... I suppose it did." she muttered, giving him a poke with her tail. "He takes on thousands of Gyarados, then faints when he see's a Legendary up close?" Rose smiled with slight sweat on her face. Trotting up, Rapidash let out a loud noise, the girls jolting and looking over the carriage.

"He's okay! He just, uh... Passed out." Rose laughed nervously. "Don't fret, he'll be back with us in due time." Alicia nodded before looking back at Chris as he lay sprawled out. "I er, suppose." she added. "Not surprise it shock him. Luna-na Pokemon come out of nowhere, then get all close. It have creepy eyes." Serenity point out. "Uh, it was LuNALA, if I'm not mistaken." Alicia clarified. "I not care!" Serenity snapped, agitated over being corrected as she lift Chris and fanned him. "I must admit, you'd never think he was the man who did all that stuff in the past acting like this." Alicia sighed. "Maybe we should lower this thing back in the carriage now. its probably not good for him to be out cold, IN the cold." Rose point out, digging in the blankets for the lever before grabbing it and pushing it back down. Letting out several clicks, the device started lowering the group back into the carriage while Rapidash returned to his stable, looking back as the roof of the carriage sealed itself shut and the girls gathered around Chris within, covering him in blankets and talking among themselves as he remained unconscious after such an abrupt and up close encounter with one of the most mystical Pokemon in the world...

Pokemon - Tale Of The Guardian Master - CH 110
Pokemon - Tale Of The Guardian Master - CH 114
Some time ago, a young man named Chris, now 23, discovered he was chosen to carry a curse passed onto him through his bloodline by a Ninetales his grandfather saved long ago, having grabbed its sacred tails to save it from falling to its demise. Burdened with this fate, which the young man now calls a blessing, Chris accepts the life chosen for him and allows the curse to guide him freely in life, destined to forever put others before himself, to forever follow the path the curse guides him along towards those in need most...

Along his journey thus far, Chris has come across a Ralts who was abandoned by her former trainer for being blind, hurled off the edge of a cliff and left to die that has since evolved into a full fledged Gardevoir by his side, swearing her life to the young man with the mysterious and terrifying ability to use the power of a Shadow Pokemon, granting her the title of a mysterious new Shadow Hybrid... Also traveling by his side is a Snivy who has since become a Servine, abandoned by her former trainer for refusing to evolve after a terrifying battle she had with a Serperior that left her mentally scarred, resulting in her former trainer neglecting and starving her in an attempt to persuade her to evolve, until he finally left her to die as well followed by a Buneary who has since evolved into Lopunny, who's former trainer became enraged due to her refusal to battle and tried to kill her off when he discovered she could only evolve via friendship...

Chris has met many people and Pokemon alike along his journey, each left as inspired by his presence as the last... He's nearly sacrificed himself to save Gardevoir and Servine from a deadly attack by a pack of Houndoom, lead by a Mega formed leader by hurling himself off a cliff to catch the two and nearly dying... Resulting in his lengthy stay in a location called Millennium City where he provided a hospital full of children an awe inspiring play room full of wonders any child would adore... Saved thousands of Pokemon eggs from dying out when their colossal incubation system malfunctioned in one of the cities many centers, and it's the location he saved Lopunny when she was a Buneary from being struck by a massive truck after being hurled into the highway by her former trainer... He's met and inspired a kindhearted old butler named Gerald who served the group during their stay in the city, and even came across the mysterious N from the Pokemon series, inspiring even this strange person during his stay in the city resulting in Chris being deemed a man worthy of keeping an eye on...

Most recently, Chris had become a criminal during his efforts to free Lopunny from her former trainer altogether, having forced his way into the city's top prison the man was held within and taking not only the Pokeball belonging to Lopunny, but taking all of his other Pokeballs to free the Pokemon within them as well only to discover the mans father was the Warden of that very prison in the process. Finding himself intrigued by Chris, the Warden gave him a chance to avoid prison time by revealing he was also the city's Gym Leader, striking a deal that if he won he would be pardoned of all crimes and allowed to leave the city.

Before the day of the match arrived, Chris found himself becoming close friends with the city's top scientist, Professor Rose, and together along with her staff they managed to complete Project Celebi, a device that could transplant sight between two people without surgery! The project turned out to be a success after Chris offered the sight in his left eye to give Gardevoir the ability to see the world for the first time via her right!

After this, the time for his showdown with the Warden arrived, and after a lengthy two part battle, Chris turned out the victor with the support of all those attending the event and beyond... To thank them for fighting for his sake, Chris gave Gardevoir, Servine, and Lopunny their own unique names, gaining the titles Serenity, Alicia, and Rose respectively, with Lopunny being named after the professor who had done so much for the group during their stay in the city...

After regaining his freedom, Chris and the girls spent a week at Arthur and Angela's massive manor on the outskirts of the city, followed by a first class cruise aboard the brand new S.S. Guardian, the first pollutant free ship in the world relying solely on solar power reservoirs! With its maiden voyage celebrating the 100th anniversary of the loss of the R.M.S. Arceanic, fate played its hand along their way to Arcticu Valley and led the Guardian to the exact location of the ships wreckage. Attacked by a massive Gyarados swarm, the Guardian was sank to the bottom of the sea, protected by a barrier crafted by Serenity which resulted in the discovery of the remains of the legendary ship.

In turn, many truths came to light in the dark depths, and after garnering the aid of the souls aboard the remains of the vessel, the Guardian managed to return to the surface of the sea once more and the Gyarados were defeated! Criminals were justly punished, a company was repossessed, and Chris was given total ownership of the entirety of the Arceanic wreck site! And now, they've finally arrived at their destination, and many more adventures are about to unfold...

A good read; I forgot how often you post when you're not writing a long one.

A heartwarming chapter. Sitting at the fire, drinking chocolate, teasing Chris, than playing in the sheets and Lunala. (Latter not so much heartwarming)
Their talk about the girls’ nausea and Chris assumption… oh God, their cluelessness… I wish I could tell them what’s going on and see their faces. XD But it’s understandable. Yes, Chris talked about kids and stuff with Ninetales back on the Guardian, but that she responded to it this fast plus didn’t say anything to them, everyone would be clueless. Not sure if Ninetales doesn’t say anything about it just for fun, or seeks revenge for Chris’ behavior talking to her like he did on the Guardian… revenge in a passiv-aggressiv way.

Chris mentioned he would like to meet the trainers of Serenity and Alicia. I hope it will happen. I can imagine a situation where those trainers actually search Chris out to reclaim the girls from him, because they have seen how awesome they turned out. Maybe we will find out how it came that the Houndoom of Serenity’s previous trainer was free and leading a pack too.

But away with the past. The aurora borealis moment was beautiful and had an unexpected emotional turn. It’s nice to see that Serenity still appreciates her eyesight and can get very emotional about it. I had a teary eye.

And then we have Lunala. It’s a bit of a cliffhanger here… What does it want from Chris, and what information it does it get from him? And why did Chris get unconscious?!

Ha ha. To answer your last question, there's no mystery to it really. The dude saw a massive Legendary, it shoved its face in his, then shot off as quick and random as it came. A lot of people would react the same.

Ninetales not telling them anything has its reasons. Primarily to allow them to find out in a more appropriate manner than her simply popping out and saying "you're pregnant" and vanishing, which is pretty much how it would likely happen if she did considering she's not one to concern over emotions and details.

Glad to see you back and catching up.

Even if Ninetales is not one to concern about the stuff, I hope she enjoys their cluelessness as much as we are. XD

Thanks, I’m also glad that I can finally catch up.

Edit: Added my thanks.
