A knock came from the door, and as I was closest to it, I opened it, only to reveal a rather large squirrel sitting on the porch, or rather, pretty large for a squirrel.
"Hello?", I asked, only to be replied by the squirrel bounding at me, almost toppling me over, climbing up to the top, feet on my shoulders, paws on my head, and playfully gnawing said head like a nut.
"Ack! Don't hurt me!", I said in surprise.
"No hurt- Play! Nomnomnom!", as she playfully nommed on my head. I could feel her rodent teeth. Her?
She moved further forward, her face upside-down to mine.
"Squirrels like nuts!", she said with a laugh and bright, shiny eyes.
:OK, OK, you win! Silly squirrel!"
"SQUIRREL!", as she wrapped her fluffy, soft red tail around my neck, but not hard enough to choke.
She then bounded off of me, landing on her feet, standing up in an almost-human fashion, revealing that she was indeed very much a female, as she stood there, only in her fur, as tall as a 10-year-old girl, with a similar build.
She offered a paw-- hand?-- saying, "We haven't properly met! I'm Helia," she said, emphasising the second syllable.
"As bright as the Sun," I quipped in response.
She chittered in a squirrelly giggle, "That's what my mother always told me!"
She then hugged me, wanting to be held. I gently petted her as she rested in my arms, noting how soft her fur was.
"You're so warm and comfortable, for a human," she sighed, closing her eyes.
What could I do? I had a pretty squirrel girl in my arms, and I think I like her, already!

The author would like to mention he still has squirrels on the brain, and the obsession has yet to let up! :)
Is something wrong with that? I don't think so! Just...um.... *starts shaking* Excuse me... *heads into another room, grabs a cute squirrel, burys nose in her fur, takes a deep breath, cuddles & fondles said squirrel, then relaxes, returning to the 'puter* Sorry, just needed to take care of an, um, nevermind... :) *addicted*

I'm still not sure whether I should be flattered by that or not... :P And I assume you're referring to Dedrei- Not sure I'd want to be on her bad side, sober or otherwise... :P And this particular squirrel girl, I never said she was 10, only the size and build of a 10-year-old... For a squirrel, especially a semi-anthro one, she could be any age. :) Just a very squirrelly one. ;)

No worries. I meant that affectionately and sincerely, perhaps not exactly in the same way as Helia, but still complimentary.
In truth, I wasn't thinking about Deidrei, but Lenora, who plays a squirrel with butterfly wings on Furcadia. She's my best friend there (and, no, I don't mean in a naughty way; she isn't interested in such things and I'm too clueless to get into them in the first place). I don't know her exact age, but she's at least in her late 20s, possibly older. She does wear clothing, and is less overtly mischievous, hence the "less naughty". Helia's apparent or actual age had little to do with it other than she was apparently younger relatively-speaking than Lenora is.
And, no, you really don't want to get on Deidrei's bad side. I just need to get around to showing some good reasons why. :p
